All I can say to those people is, if you want to fix bad police, fix the society that creates them.

My little town eliminated our local police department several years ago because it was an unnecessary expense. Now we have a sheriff’s deputy roll through about once per month. The crime rate here is virtually non existent.

True, we have the society that the majority have voted for, but there are a lot of people that do not want what we have and are not happy about having cops running around in military gear shooting people and their pets. Something has radically changed in the past 20 years so now you have people viewing cops as the bad guys, and a lot of the time that is the correct view as they appear to be above the law unless what they do is so egregious and the out cry so intense that they are forced to prosecute them.

I’m not a supporter of either and won’t shed any tears for either side in this. Dorner is pretty obviously not in his right mind and the cops have really over reacted to this whole thing. They are quite happy to dis-arm law abiding citizens while at the same time providing 24 hour security for those cops threatened by Dorner. They’ve locked down the entire Big Bear area and have violated 4th amendment protections all in the name of getting this guy. Show me any other time they even bother to investigate a murder with this kind of effort.
