Rep. Sensenbrenner calls on Obama to denounce ‘Bullet to the Head of the NRA’ video game

Wisconsin Republican Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner is calling on President Barack Obama to denounce an online video game that encourages players to shoot and kill National Rifle Association officials.

In a letter to Obama, Sensenbrenner on Tuesday voiced concern about the video game, “Bullet to the Head of the NRA,” which allows players to assassinate NRA President David Keene with a scoped firearm. (RELATED: Developer of “Bullet” NRA game admits to wanting as much publicity as possible)

“Making threats against public figures who speak out either for or against gun control prevents us from having a reasonable, thoughtful debate,” Sensenbrenner wrote in his letter. “Although we may have strong disagreements on the best ways to reduce gun violence, it is my hope that we can both agree that video games targeting specific individuals who speak out on this issue, is counterproductive.”

The congressman, who boasts an “A” rating from the NRA, urged the president to “publicly denounce this video game and encourage civil discussion on the matter.”

It’s about time that a Republican in office said something about this. This is how Conservatives are going to need to proceed in the public debate- Boehner and his crew are so paralyzed with fear of being criticized that they can’t even state the obvious.

I think all of us has had the “pleasure” of working for managment that will not listen to the people under them. I suspect that has a lot to do with the gun sales. We all know where this is headed. We can see the danger mounting around us in the streets with the EBT gangs, and the incitement to violence coming from the actions of congress.

Just like working for looser managment, when they begin to justify their foolishness, you know, despite physics and reality, they are going where angels fear to tread.

Well he is my congresscritter and at least HE is standing up for his values. If you check his personal background, I believe it was an uncle and aunt, who's house was broken into many, many years ago and IIRC his uncle shot the intruder and saved their own lives. This is why he is so adamant about the 2nd amendment.

Jim Sensenbrenner is someone that has a backbone and I applaud him, but where oh where you ask are the rest of the disgusting GOP leaders in congress? Are they planning a Valentine cocktail party, planning to reach across the isle to crooked, vicious Harry Reid or upchuck Schumer? I am so sick to my stomach about what is happening here, so please at least support someone who is at least showing signs of being on our side. Same with Michelle Bachmann. These people are getting pummeled by the left AND the GOP. Disgusting.
