Contact your legislators now!
At Ruger, our motto is "Arms Makers for Responsible Citizens." It is not just a slogan; it is genuine recognition that millions of law-abiding citizens use our firearms safely and responsibly every day. We are mechanics, doctors, teachers, police officers, firemen, nurses, factory workers, and every other occupation you can name. We are a vast and too-often silent majority ... and our rights are under attack.
Given the forces assembling against us, merely relying upon lobbying efforts is insufficient. Law-abiding firearms owners must stand up and be heard. This affects all of us, so we cannot stand idly by and rely upon others to fight on our behalf. Too much is at stake.
Step one: Please click on one of the buttons to the right for an easy way to tell your legislators you care about gun rights. The button allows you to send a prepared email letter quickly and easily. The Find Your Representatives button has detailed contact information for each of your legislators so, if you prefer, you can call them or write them a more personal letter.

Don’t just contact the fed level. City, county and state level need to be slammed as well. Just sent one off to Gov. Sandoval here in NV. I expect the Govs. (with cojones) to tell the feds they will NOT implement illegal actions taken by a radical left wing extremist trying to subjugate the citizens of the US. Time to do like Nancy said: “Just say NO!”

LOL! What is the deal on the sidebar? Are we suppose to keep it current, or the moderators? I can barely do my FR on my cell phone, nevermind configuring sidebar for breaking news. Ha! Thx.
Maybe it’s time for all firearms manufacturing companies to consider putting their states on notice that if they proceed with interfering with their ability to manufacture legal products that their customers want that they will pack up lock, stock and barrel and move to friendlier environs. I can’t believe that they still do business in some of these anti-gun locations. I’m sure there are plenty of other places that would welcome them with open “arms”. Not only that, maybe they should cease doing business of any kind with these states. From private dealers (sorry guys and gals) to state agencies as well. “If you don’t want my products in your state, then they won’t be available in your state!” EOFS! Bye bye. I’m pretty sure there are plenty of customers that will take up the slack.

I run my FR pages on “Comments” and my “Brevity” on “Headers”.
I don’t even see sidebars (let alone know how to put a post in one).
:)
THAT is good advice, my friend! And actually, I had failed to think about that, the obvious. Sometimes I miss the trees for staring at the forest.
Locally, it would help, I believe, to hand deliver any written remarks, as well as email.
BTW, it was suggested by a poster to write out a check and hand deliver it, to your nearest US representative(s), saying:
” this is one fourth of what I am going to spend on my representative found defending the 2A, and if that isn’t you, then the rest of the money goes to your opponent.”
Isn’t that a deal? If a lot of us would do just that and pry a few friends up to do the same, we would make more of an impression that we ate engaged, and invested.
I don’t know how to do it either.
Hope the Admin Mod will sidebar this post of yours AND the one of Stockman’s impeachment threat.
Can someone with knowledge about Congress/Senate identify the most effective method to contact our representatives?
In order of effectiveness, is it:
1. Call rep’s DC office
2. Send email to rep
3. Call local rep’s office.
all of the above and if you call (another reps office) they will ask for your zip code of where you live to make sure you are in their district.
I usually don't have any trouble getting a live person for my Senator or Reps office. Again, if I don't get a live answer, I call one of their field offices (listed on their website).
Faxes (to DC offices) work well, too.
It should be said e-mails are pretty much ignored and simply farmed of your email address so you can get their “news letters” and hit up for cash every 2 or 6 years.
New York state is not and has not been a free state for 100 years. Nothing they do there surprises me. I would never live there and have never visited and never plan to.
I pity the few REAL conservatives there.

“A few brave souls will keep the oath, to be quickly dealt with as warning to others. Its over”.
There are more of us than there are of them.
Oath keepers will win the day.
It ain’t over till it’s over. Keep the faith baby.
The old constituent trap.
I love it when I’m ignored by someone with the thought process that I’m not their constituent because I don’t happen to live where they think I should.
That describes someone who has votes on their mind, not the welfare of the American People, and the good of the country in their heart of hearts.
The vote of everyone in Congress has an effect on every individual in the country, and so if “they” aren’t listening to everyone, “they” have written you off, and “they” aren’t worth your time other than working to get them OUTTA THERE.
“if you prefer, you can call them or write them a more personal letter”.
If I may add, personal means just that. Do not cut and paste.
Use your own words. Ten thousand emails exactly alike are viewed as ten thousand too lazy to put thoughts together on what might be an important subject.
