I agree. I've been to some third world countries that had better service and plans than the US. I refused to sign up for any two year commitment.

Even some of the countries like Japan and Korea all you had to do was keep the service for one month and you can cancel anytime after that.

We live in a cell hole because the county won't permit cell towers. (wouldn't want to hurt birds with radar! In Siskiyou county our cabin has no electricity. Lines approach from two directions but end about 2 miles away. Yet, our phone bills(land lines) are subsidizing fiber internet to a house with no electric and thousands who split firewood rather than surf the net. Go figger.
