How much traction would this or any gun control bill get to be passed?? Is there that much dem support? I would think that anyone who would vote yes would be out of a job come 2014.

Permitting wouldn’t have stopped a single mass shooting. So clearly THAT is just an opportunistic political move on the graves of the innocent children.
Voluntary buy-backs are fine in my book. I don’t think people should be forced to own guns, and if they already own guns, they should have a way to get rid of those guns, since we don’t want them to throw them out where they could fall into the hands of criminals.
We could then sell the guns at gun shows, and the government could do background checks if they like.
We often say that gun laws only target the law-abiding. But a compulsory buy-back would make criminals out of a lot of gun owners, because they would not comply.
These buyback programs are such a joke. Dont these morons see that the only reason why many people are trading in their guns for cash is so they can buy even better guns

I think the Red Chinese and Iranians are starting to put pressure on the Democrats to disarm Americans. The ‘RATs have been bought and paid for and the Red Chinese and Iranians are wanting something for the money they paid.

Well said. I've sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Unlike politicians, some of us take our oaths seriously. Very, very seriously.
Maybe since the government is so worried about all the guns out there,

maybe we have government get rid of all its guns first.
