How much traction would this or any gun control bill get to be passed?? Is there that much dem support? I would think that anyone who would vote yes would be out of a job come 2014.

This is why I never joined the NRA. I suspect that the government has the NRA membership list and will go after them first.

I do not serve you, Diane, you are a servant of the public, which is me.

My rights do not come from you, and you do not have the authority to take my rights from me.

Go f*ck yourself, lady, and yeah, that’s compulsory.

Permitting wouldn’t have stopped a single mass shooting. So clearly THAT is just an opportunistic political move on the graves of the innocent children.

Voluntary buy-backs are fine in my book. I don’t think people should be forced to own guns, and if they already own guns, they should have a way to get rid of those guns, since we don’t want them to throw them out where they could fall into the hands of criminals.

We could then sell the guns at gun shows, and the government could do background checks if they like.

We often say that gun laws only target the law-abiding. But a compulsory buy-back would make criminals out of a lot of gun owners, because they would not comply.

These buyback programs are such a joke. Dont these morons see that the only reason why many people are trading in their guns for cash is so they can buy even better guns

Yeah, right. Borrow more money from China or print a bunch of inflated greenbacks to disarm America. Good luck with that.

Australia implemented a mandatory buyback program in 1996 following a mass shooting. “The law banned semiautomatic and automatic rifles and shotguns and put in place a mandatory buy-back program for newly banned weapons,” USA Today recalls. “The buyback led to the destruction of 650,000 gun.”

Feinswine you don't got the money for over 300,000,000 US guns and they're not for sale.

That won’t be too bad as long as you get enough money for your gun to then pay for that Bushmaster with 30 round clip you have always wanted. Better yet — buy it first and pay for it later with buyback money.

I think the Red Chinese and Iranians are starting to put pressure on the Democrats to disarm Americans. The ‘RATs have been bought and paid for and the Red Chinese and Iranians are wanting something for the money they paid.

These people are exactly the reason for the Constitution. They are the very people our founders feared.

Well said. I've sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Unlike politicians, some of us take our oaths seriously. Very, very seriously.

Maybe since the government is so worried about all the guns out there,

maybe,

maybe we have government get rid of all its guns first.

Let’s make that compulsory.
