Anti-gun activists hold protests in DC (Watch the Video)
My Fox DC ^ | 12/13/12 | Bob Barnard

"Arm the teachers! Arm the principals!" yelled one man from a second-floor window nearby.

Larry Ward, who says he is a father of two young children and lives in Virginia, later came down to confront the protestors on the street.

"This principal in the school tried to defend the children and was killed for it," Ward told us. "But if the principal tried to defend the children with a gun, perhaps (she) could have saved many lives."

***Anti-gun activists hold protests in DC***

This is SO 1968. I remember the activists back then walking back and forth with their anti-gun signs after Bobby Kennedy got shot.

So how many protesters were there, really?

And as to the failure of the NRA to respond to media calls for comment...why should they play Emmanuel Goldstein for the media’s Two-Minute-Hate Period?

I remember DC in April 1968 when Stokely Carmichael and his reds urged the burning down of DC, which the great unwashed mobs did.

Small businesses, esp. those owned by Jews, were specifically targetted, looted and burned to the ground. Same in Baltimore.

No guns, no protection resulted in major unemployment for hardworking whites and blacks.

However, in Baltimore, both whites and blacks who owned legal weapons stood guard over their businesses where possible and kept the black riotting hordes at bay.

In one neighborhood, down the street from our family business, a liquor store owner got his whole family to stand armed guard, and had his black employees quietly spread the word around the “hood” that anyone causing trouble would be killed. Nobody did and our block was spared the rioting and looting that occurred nearby.

Also, in DC, most of the violent crime victims are unarmed black citizens who are easy picking for the professional criminals. Just read the DC papers everyday and you will see what I mean.

A few years ago, my neighborhood was suffering from a wave of drug related crime and drunk driving (20 hit & run) accidents in front of my house/next door neighbor (including about 6-8 on our vehicles). The neighborhood banded together and got the police to crack down and it worked, aided by a neighborhood watch program.

Then I had my police officer son walk up our driveway in full uniform, carrying a nasty looking shotgun for all to see. For some reason, we haven’t had any problems in years.

Oh, our K-9 dog is also a good message for troubleseekers, as in “stay away or I’ll tear your balls off, along with your arm and head”.

Seems to work. Won’t say who is armed in the family but we are all crack shots.

An armed home is a safer home.

A friend of mine in DC did protected his liquor store along the 9th Street corridor by sitting behind the counter all weekend after the MLK assassination with his rifle aimed at the front door. No one came near it.

To EDINVA:

Your friend was lucky. Others were killed by mobs. In fact, I was possibly the first person to tell the police (actually White House Protective Service officer) that a mob was forming at 14th & R, carrying burning paper.

No police car was seen on 14th Street till I found one at the White House entrance.

Two white truck drivers were later killed at 14th & U, pulled from their cabs and stabbed to death at the same spot I had driven thru two days earlier.

My pipe wrench under my car seat wouldn’t have saved me if I were attacked. A gun would have. Lesson learned but still unarmed in DC.
