Amsterdam to create 'scum villages' {dutch trailer parks!}
Telegraph ^ | 3.Dec.2012 | Bruno Waterfield

Holland's capital already has special hit squad of municipal officials to identify the worst offenders for a compulsory six month course in how to behave. Social housing problem families or tenants who do not show an improvement or refuse to go to the special units face eviction and homelessness.

Eberhard van der Laan, Amsterdam's Labour mayor, has tabled the £810,000 plan to tackle 13,000 complaints of anti-social behaviour every year. He complained that long-term harassment often leads to law abiding tenants, rather than their nuisance neighbours, being driven out.

The new punishment housing camps have been dubbed "scum villages" because the plan echoes a proposal from Geert Wilders, the leader of a populist Dutch Right-wing party, for special units to deal with persistent troublemakers.

"Repeat offenders should be forcibly removed from their neighbourhood and sent to a village for scum," he suggested last year. "Put all the trash together."

..The tough approach taken by Mr van der Laan appears to jar with Amsterdam's famous tolerance for prostitution and soft drugs but reflects hardening attitudes to routine anti-social behaviour that falls short of criminality.

There are already several small-scale trial projects in the Netherlands, including in Amsterdam, where 10 shipping container homes have been set aside for persistent offenders, living under 24-hour supervision from social workers and police.

Under the new policy, from January next year, victims will no longer have to move to escape their tormentors, who will be moved to the new units.

The Dutch Parool newspaper observed that the policy was not a new one. In the 19th century, troublemakers were moved to special villages in Drenthe and Overijssel outside Amsterdam. The villages were rarely successful, becoming sink estates for the lawless.

"A neighbourhood can deal with one problem family but if there are more the situation escalates."

this does make a lot of sense "We have learned from the past," said the mayor's spokesman. "A neighbourhood can deal with one problem family but if there are more the situation escalates."

Wonder if they confront Moslems about anti-social behaviors such as wife beating, daughter burning, assault, arson, rape, and murder, or, like everybody else these days, they give Moslems a free pass.

Who decides who the scum is? I can imagine a bunch of folks of a certain persuasion, be it Amish or whatever, declaring some people as undesirables.

The “scum” villages will grow while the “normal” villages shrink.

Residents of the scum villages will target for crime residents of the normal villages.

As the scum villages grow in size, politicians will court their support while forsaking the support of the shrinking normal villages.

In the end, residents of normal villages will be forced into scum villages in order to consolidate services as well as travel in an effort to save the planet from widespread human activity.

Mankind is not headed in a positive direciton.

Of course, the mayor is not telling you that Amsterdam created this problem in the first place by building hundreds of gigantic high rise apartment buildings of “free housing” (ie. not government rent controlled) to accommodate all those waiting for places in the city to open up as well as all the guest workers. These high rises encircled an equally huge park with walking paths, bike runs and children’s parks. Human nature what it is, the parks became the trash dump of the hundred of thousands of people forced to live in the ugly high rises. (A building usually had 10-14 floors and only two elevators at each end -often out of service.) Muggers took advantage of the park’s shrubbery to hide and attack people who had to walk along forested paths at night from the subway station to their building. The park was also an ideal place for drug addicts to buy and sell their wares, as well as shoot up. The play grounds - landscaped with dozens of benches - quickly became hazard waste dumps of used needles and other unmentionables.

Oh, yes! The mayor has “learned” from the past!

Who decides who the scum is?

Come to my neighborhood and I can show you about 3 drug dealers within 500 feet from my property line. A house full of illegals and one registered sexual offender.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out where the scum in the neighborhood lives. Worse yet, they rent the houses they are in and don’t care about what they do to the property value of the neighbors around them.

Yes, it’s very apparent who they are.

America is filled with scum villages.

We don’t have to create them, they create themselves.

The scum moves in and decent people move out.

America does provide help in the original growth of these villages by providing Section 8 housing.

"America does provide help in the original growth of these villages by providing Section 8 housing.

I lived in a lovely small town in the 1970's. Ironically, a Dutch slumlord moved to town. Bought up a lot of real estate and turned on the spigot of Section 8 waste. Fast forward 2012 - full of crime, drug dealers and yes, plenty of social services to be found.
