The overwhelming preponderance of Japanese and German immigrants were loyal to the United States, not to the ideologies reigning in their respective nations.
In the case of German immigrants, most of them were persecuted in Germany, in particular Jews, those of Slavic descent, and “Gypsies”.
Oh, and saboteurs and spies were promptly tried by military tribunal and hanged.
