When Dennis Miller was on the Tonight Show, he got into an argument with Jay Leno about this very thing. Leno was saying, "But Obama cares!!" and Miller slammed him for it rather nicely.
Let us never forget - Elections Have Consequences.
I will admit that I had to look that one up.
Horse manure.
Romney needed to take that (accurate) “47%” comment and run with it. The Democrat party base is a pack of moochers who want their scumbag Democrat politicians to confiscate more and more... from their neighbors... and hand the loot over to them, the moochers, in exchange for their votes. This is fact. It has nothing to do with “caring” for people except to people who equate “caring” with “free stuff”. ...And that would be the moochers.
Eternal Vigilance was panglossian in his views when he thought he was going to become the next president of the US.
They have been exceptionally legalistic since their first founding in the 1500s by Russian Orthodox priests in lapland. They are just as legalistic now since their arrival in America in the early 1600s. And the new, reformed model in Sweden and Finland (Old Apostolic Lutheran Church ~ First Born) is also very legalistic, and pietistic.
Swedenborg studied the phenomenon, organized it along more Masonic lines, and introduced it as the Church of Swedenborg. Sometimes Mormons are accused of having copied Swedenborg, but I think it's more a fact of their all copying the same source ~ the pre-laestidian Church of the First Born.
Not that there's anything wrong with being legalistic, but sometimes it can be carried to extremes that are harmful to the individual ~ e.g. COFB in Oklahoma, Idaho and elsewhere have a very, very high rate of infant and children ~ worse than in any third-world country. They wouldn't take you to the doctor if your life depended on it ~ literally.
Blacks vote 95% for blacks because they're "brutha's", AND, the MAJORITY of the black vote comes from inner-city-tribal-parasites.
You got a problem with that, take it up with those living in Deetroit, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Chicago, etc., and face the reality.
Also, check one of the charts to see which income groups contribute 80% of the Federal Revenues from income taxes.....
> The cares about people is a typical liberal voter. It’s all about feelings.
Yes, and that works in advertising too. People base many important decisions on feelings and emotion: selection of a marriage partner, naming children, color and shape of things they buy, travel destinations, etc.
‘cares about you’ is a good choice. Another ‘corporations are people’ makes the same point. But in the end it was the primaries that defined him as unwanted, even by Republicans.
I never thought or said such a thing, much less acted optimistic about it. You’re making things up.
It would have taken a miracle of biblical proportions for me to win, and I always said so, every step of the way.
The sort of big miracle in which hearts and minds of folks like yourself were turned one hundred and eighty degrees.
Fraud and possible a deal between Romney and Obama lost him the election.
The social security collecting people, many of who don't owe income tax, are the most pro-republican voting age group in America.
Yes there are many pro Republican SSI recipients. Not sure if they are the most pro Republican as a group.
SSI is a government administered pension program. In theory it should not be considered "government assistance" because people pay into it, putting aside for a moment the funky, pyramid-scheme-like, actuarial calculations that fund it. There are many good people who paid their SSI tax. I wouldn't necerserily consider them as receiving "government assistance".
About the SSI actuarial calcualtions...
So then, what were you doing, and why?
Wow, that was an insightful post, good description.
I was representing conservatives, who had no representation.
What were you doing?
Not sure that it's self perpetuating in the long run. At some point the leeches will get less as the producers stop producing.
I don’t think that a lot of them even have any particularly traumatic experiences to blame for not growing up. It has just become culturally popular and acceptable to act like bratty children.
How were you representing conservatives who had no representation? I was trying to save our republic—our republic is dead and you helped kill it.
I hope someday you’ll realize that you can’t save the republic by supporting liberals.
