“There have been news reports indicating that the affair happened after he started working for the CIA. Also, Fox reported that the CIA did its own vetting, not the FBI - which is also a strange thing.”

It could be that we have a few unsung heroes in the FBI who are doing yoeman’s duty to get the dirty laundry of the Obama administration out in the open so that the public knows what’s really going on, in spite of massive coverup by the Obama WH, MSM, and Dem Party. It is the FBI that blew the whistle on Petraeus, perhaps to save him from further blackmail by Obama and his henchmen, and to save our country from policy decisions hurtful to it.

The FBI also informed the Pentagon first about the investigation into General John Allen, and his e-mail ties to Mrs. Kelley, the other “other woman” in this whole messy affair. Did the FBI bypass the White House and go straight to the Pentagon to get the latest info out about Allen, or were they prompted by the White House to inform the Pentagon. I doubt the latter, so I wonder what are the real motivations of the FBI, other than to stick it to the CIA. Or perhaps they suspect all sorts of bad stuff is happening over at the CIA. Like Benghazi, and gun running there, and what really happened in Libya.

Or perhaps the FBI is merely another arm now of the White House regime. And within the FBI, if they have become basically White House operatives, are there a brave few leaking info to friendly media in order to try to let us know what is really going on behind the scenes. So much intrigue, so little time. Where’s Brad Thor when you need him?

Constitution-Bill of rights -4th amendment-

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Where was the search warrant required of the FBI in searching Petraeus’s e-mails????

Sounds like Petraeus has a federal case against Obama and the government. This is smut dug up strictly for use as smut, not as evidence.Typical of a fascist like Obama.

Obama is behind this....big time.

If I may add one more question to yours:

Is all of this a great distraction to keep any actual reporters from investigating how the Soros Administration stole this election?

If you are head of the CIA you just might be monitored. It’s the National Security stupid.

My concern is that there are far too many "posture peons & posers" and few stalwarts who yearn to wield the "terrible swift sword" of justice.

Ohh, I want to... though I think most "conservatives" (read statists) would be terrified of that prospect.
One thing I'd do is use the NDAA to detain, indefinitely, the Supreme Court with the simple phrase that the NDAA is the reason they're being detained... then see how long it takes them to find NDAA unconstitutional. (Same with Kelo, cite it and seize all their owned land; see how long it takes for them to reverse Kelo.)

Private emails sent on a government computer, you can access Hotmail, Yahoo, etc now, or sent from his home computer?

If he sent them via a government computer they are subject to monitoring. Every dummy in uniform knows that plus whenever you log in a “Consent To Being Mointored” banner pops up.

and as an added bonus, the Patriot Act is the law of our land and applies to the people not the terrorists. First hand information on the Patriot Act. Met with a person arrested under the act and noticed things. Entire conversation was probably monitored. Nothing new. Thank You, USAF80 for your Service.
