This must be a really big storm. Or just another day in January in Wisconsin. Been there, done that.
I am struck by the lack of any preparedness by these people. They didn’t do a darn thing to help themselves.
obammie’s election the first time was supposed to slow the rising water of global warming, maybe this time he can stop a nor’easter.
eh, guess not.
wait there for your government to help you.
more global warming
They voted for the t*rd-in-chief.
Let the b*stards freeze to death in the dark.
(Not really, but it really felt good to say it.)
no problems
Obie and the Mooch have their back.
next in goes the Knife.
Evidently the Messiah is unable to wave his hand and make the snow go away.....
Meh, par for the course here in Conn. The media is trying to turn this into something abnormal. It ain’t.
Had fun slipping and sliding on the roads last night because our state listened to the forecaster’s predictions (of not much snow) instead of being prepared for the worst (rain that changed over to lots of snow), so we had a nice layer of ice under the unplowed white stuff. Two fatalities from accidents, one when a tractor-trailer jackknifed, the other from a roll-over.
Have plenty of dry wood when I did get home, even if power goes out, just like every winter. If I wasn’t traveling back home from a west coast meeting, I wouldn’t have been out on the roads.
Most were typical first-storm accidents, where people just weren’t ready, but quite a number of cars stuck in the roads were due to the poor state prep. Some I’m sure was due to the storm itself—starting with rain, the salt gets washed off, then the change to snow freezes the rain layer, and you get cars spinning tires and clogging roadways so the plows can’t get through.
I believe this is the first time I’ve ever used the word schadenfreude in a sentence. Feels kinda good.
What also feels good:
No more shopping at union stores.
No more donations to enabling charities.
No more extension of my professional responsibilities to support the entitled class. I’m a doctor. I diagnose illness and prescribe treatment. It is not my job to get people free or cheap meds when they can afford them, nor is it my job to help them enroll in any form of welfare.
I feel bad for the children and Romney voters that are suffering there. The others..? Not so much. I don’t want to see anyone die but a little suffering is said to be good for the soul.
Don’t worry, New York, you re-elected Ferdinand and Imelda, help will be on the way (why are those crickets chirping?)
Hey NY/NJ, according to Al Gore this is caused by global warming. So to save yourselves from freezing, turn off your CO2 emitting stoves, furnaces and fireplaces. Don’t use your cars either. Once you shut off anything that produces pollution you should warm right up and be OK.
At least that’s what I heard.
Let them eat Christie
NE? No sympathy from me...sorry!
It seems the usual gubmint advice “make sure you keep on hand 3 days of food and water” meme isn’t working very well...
Hey, now all the NY/NJ libs get to live the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ way....courtesy of Mother Nature...
