I like Ryan, but the only thing he brought to the game was shoring up the conservative base. I’m not sure that he brought in many who wouldn’t have voted for Romney anyway.
He didn’t carry his home state, and he contributed to the whole abortion fiasco, and he didn’t delivery Catholics. I don’t think that was why Romney lost, but he didn’t help.
The GOP has got to do better with Latinos and under 30s. Romney had an extreme anti-immigration position. The Gingrich stance was much better, but did not appeal to the base.

My thoughts EXACTLY. The word “unqualified” lost all meaning when BHO was elected.
I was thinking how to respond, but then you wrote... Exit polls showed people blame Bush for the economy more than Obama. That's not on Romney.

Yesterday he was blaming other things. I think many people thought his reasons yesterday were simply making excuses and grasping at straws; and some of those voices got to him; today’s he’s got another scapegoat.
The GOP Candidate who is not in charge of their campaign’s choices and conduct, and its failures, cannot make a good president.
Get off it Mister Ruddy and go have a heart to heart with Mitt; tell him to tell his own people to look in the mirror, and let the GOP and Conservatives quit with the excuses.

True, which is probably the reason Ryan was so anxious to go on TV and say that Obama won “fair and square”. Barf! Ryan is just another phony “conservative” who is getting rich from playing us for suckers. He may not be as slimy as Rove, Rush, O’Reilly and the other scum that spent the entire election cycle lying to us, but he’s in there. My question is, how long are we on the right going to keep letting these guys make fools of us?
