This was not a major tide-turning election at all. The GOP simply needs to figure out how to attract votes from employed taxpayers (there are still a lot of them out there, folks). Obama did well among this group in all of these swing states.
In my opinion, the road to success for any Republican candidate is to successfully pit the growing mass of working immigrants against the leeches and losers who make up a huge chunk of the Democratic base. Like him or not, this is something that George W. Bush did very well.
So how do we get that nominee? Who would it have been?
Certainly none of the flawed ne'er-do-wells that ran in the GOP primary.
Who is the silver-tongued conservative businessman or governor that would've wooed unionistas in Ohio, or Virginia federal bureaucrats?
Clint Eastwood? John Sununu? Rush Limbaugh?
It wasn’t the immigrants that lost us this election. Texas and Arizona remained red. It is our social policies/beliefs that WHITE women do not like. I do not see that changing in the near or distant future on either side. I believe it is only going to get worse as the liberals have control of our schools, television, music... basically, all of the propaganda outlets.
