Petraeus at CIA who was undoubtedly in on it as well. He stated that "no CIA requests for help had been denied" covering his scrawny ass as well.
One of the later versions of events now has the CIA actually sending Woods, Doherty and 2 others to aid the ambassador and civilians.
Team Obama are grabbing onto anything they can and trying to modify it to placate the masses.
Those weeks of reports of Woods and Doherty being denied twice to go to the fighting and their finally disobeying orders has evaporated into 'ahhhh, the CIA sent them.'
==
One new report yesterday actually said that Woods was in Benghazi but Doherty came with a team, due to the attacks, from Tripoli.
I went 'hmmmmm' at that, because every report since Sept 11 indicated that both Woods and Doherty were working in Benghazi.
Two CIA contractors, both former Navy SEALs, were killed: Tyrone Woods, a security officer based in Benghazi, and Glen Doherty, who was part of the team rushed by air from Tripoli.
That is news.
Per previous reports, Doherty was a part of the same group as Woods, and they were in Benghazi investigating some 20,000 missing surface-to-air missiles.
This is the first I have seen that Doherty came with a team from Tripoli.

.....The American special operators, Woods, Doherty and at least two others were part of the Global Response Staff, a CIA element, based at the CIA annex and were protecting CIA operators who were part of a mission to track and repurchase arms in Benghazi that had proliferated in the wake of Muammar Qaddafis fall. Part of their mission was to find the more than 20,000 missing MANPADS, or shoulder-held missiles capable of bringing down a commercial aircraft. According to a source on the ground at the time of the attack, the team inside the CIA annex had captured three Libyan attackers and was forced to hand them over to the Libyans. U.S. officials do not know what happened to those three attackers and whether they were released by the Libyan forces.......

Team Obama are still in search of a narrative that seems plausible.

"I went 'hmmmmm' at that, because every report since Sept 11 indicated that both Woods and Doherty were working in Benghazi." Thanks for bringing that up. I was puzzled by the "report" that Doherty showed up from Tripoli. Sounds like the "report" was MSM spin.

Of course Benghazi is a perfect vehicle for disinformation which is what the regime/Axelod is all about.
Kadaffi had a huge stock of thousands of shoulder fired rockets. Undoubtedly when the terror types who finally got to him, no telling who they were,probably AQ North Africa had to have made off with some of them. Its likely Stevens was given 40 million to buy back as many of them that he could. There were some who came to help at the compound not too sure of who, when, or where but you probably have that down. Bottom line for me is that all requests for help were turned down.
Admiral Gaouette was severely reprimanded for trying to go against the regime,its here excerpted from an ABC news link: In an unusual move, the Navy has replaced an admiral commanding an aircraft carrier strike group while it is deployed to the Middle East. The replacement was prompted by an Inspector Generals investigation of allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment. Rear Adm. Charles M. Gaouette, the commander of the USS John C. Stennis strike group, is being returned to the United States for temporary reassignment. In a statement the Navy said it had approved a request made by Vice Adm. John W. Miller, the Commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, to temporarily reassign Gaouette pending the results of an investigation by the Navy Inspector General. The statement said Gaoutte would return to the carriers home port of Bremerton, Washington. A Navy official familiar with the circumstances of the investigation said it involved allegations of inappropriate leadership judgment and stressed it was not related to personal conduct.
around orders and A North African US General Ham was relieved of command by a junior officer 30 seconds after he tried to send help to Benghazi. So WTH was going on?
