President Barack Obama’s promise of “hope” in America is “dying in Ohio” because of the Delphi pensions scandal, claims a new video from the conservative website Revealing Politics.
A few of the more than 20,000 nonunion Delphi salaried retirees who lost their pensions, health insurance and other benefits because of the Obama administration’s actions during the 2009 auto industry bailout are featured in the video. Their union colleagues saw their full pensions and benefits restored.
“The president was concerned about the unions and he discounted the salaried workforce,” one retiree who lost her benefits said.
The video cuts to Vice President Joe Biden’s recent speech where he proclaimed: “General Motors is alive!” The tape shifts back to the Delphi retirees who lost their pensions.
“GM may be alive,” one former autoworker said, “but I’m struggling.”
“GM may be alive, but I personally am hurting,” said another.
Revealing Politics editor-at-large Caleb Bonham told The Daily Caller he “recently visited Warren, Ohio, to talk with several non-union Delphi retirees who lost their pension during the government overhaul of General Motors.”
“The retirees I spoke with were truly hurting and their story portrayed another side to the politics behind the GM bailout,” Bonham said in an email. “The story of Delphi retirees has been largely ignored by the Obama campaign and the campaign’s message that ‘General Motors is alive’ runs contrary to the situation encountered by non-union Delphi employees.”

We all knew what O did when he bailed out GM, it doesn’t seem like anyone cares.

Let’s not forget the 2,000 plus auto dealerships Obama illegally ordered shut down.
Almost of those were privately held small businesses who had their investment and livelhood taken away to satisfy Obama’s egomaniacle lust for centralized government power.
It is also estimated that more than 100,000 jobs were killed by this action.
Where I live the streets are still lined with closed down auto dealer showrooms, parking areas and maintenance/repair shops.
