ID is required in Illinois for early voting because the records are not at the voting site as they are for Election Day voting.
When you vote Election Day they compare your signature. One would think that this would be the way the fraud could occur.
Have people forge signatures. But this would be cumbersome and slow. Pre-loading the machines would be the quickest way to create big totals of fraudulent votes.

(c) No person shall do any electioneering or soliciting of votes on primary day within any polling place or within one hundred feet of any polling place, or, at the option of a church or private school, on any of the property of that church or private school that is a polling place.

Here in Montgomery Co., Texas, early voting has been HEAVY ever since it started Monday morning.
I think this isn’t surprising, this being Texas (but not near Austin) and all... bodes well for a little R&R.
