Obama says recovery is better than it appears -- data say otherwise

n a previously off-the-record interview with the Des Moines Register, President Obama argued that the economic recovery he's overseen isn't as bad as his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, claims.

"In many ways, because of the actions we took early on, we're actually ahead of pace in the typical recovery out of a recession like this," Obama said.

It's a point Obama and his supporters have made on occasion throughout the campaign.[snip]

But the data are clear that Obama's economic recovery — which started in June 2009, five months after he was sworn in — has been worse than any recovery since the Great Depression.

Its self-serving campaign trail garbage! If the economy was doing well, O’s approval rating would be over 50% and we would haven’t all this talk about how well the economy is supposedly doing. People don’t feel it.

IBD had an editorial today about 0bama’s cadre of advisors for foreign policy.

Their statements were a lot more honest about, though totally in line with, 0bama’s expressed and implemented “mea culpa” foreign policy.

One recommended that he LITERALLY bow to foreign leaders to show a humbled/humiliated USA.

I tend to agree but, it's temporary.

Bernanke's economy pumping has goosed the economy in an attempt to get Obama elected. Looks like he should have started goosing a little sooner.

The election will be over before the peak of the goosing arrives. After the election, the economy will begin backsliding. Then the fiscal cliff arrives.....
