‘Jane Roe’ of Roe v. Wade airs anti-Obama ad in Florida

Florida, October 23, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Nearly 40 years ago, as a young, pregnant woman, Norma McCorvey played an instrumental part in the Supreme Court decision that brought legal abortion to America. Now McCorvey, the ‘Roe’ in the Roe v. Wade case, has released an ad urging voters not to vote for Obama.

McCorvey became a Christian in 1995 and has since repudiated her role in Roe v. Wade, campaigning for its reversal.

The ad is set to air in Florida, and is backed by Randall Terry, the pro-life activist who is running for office on the Democratic ticket in several states. Terry’s political campaigning is aimed primarily at exploiting a legal loophole that requires TV stations to run his political ads, which include graphic abortion imagery.

In her ad, McCorvey says the Roe v. Wade decision was based upon a “lie” and urges citizens to vote against Obama.

The transcript:

“I’m Norma McCorvey, the former Jane Roe of the Roe vs. Wade decision that brought ‘legal’ child killing to America.

“I was persuaded by feminist attorneys to lie; to say that I was raped, and needed an abortion. It was all a lie.

“Since then, over 50 million babies have been murdered. I will take this burden to my grave.

“Please, don’t follow in my mistakes. DO NOT vote for Barack Obama. He murders babies.”

The ad concludes with Randall Terry saying: “I approve this message.”

The commercial also contains graphic abortion images.

President Obama has consistently voted in favor of abortion, earning him the label of “most pro-abortion president” in U.S. history by pro-life groups across the country. Pro-life activists have especially highlighted his support for partial birth abortion – a procedure in which a baby is killed while only his head remains in his mother’s body – and his repeated votes against an Illinois bill that would have protected babies born alive after failed abortions from being killed.

“Norma McCorvey is a burr in the saddle of the baby killers; and she may help throw Obama out of the saddle,” said Terry in a statement about the ad.

“This ad could help bring down Obama in the closing days of this campaign - please God - make it so.”

While graphic abortion images and pro-life messages are usually barred by most television stations, election season brings the opportunity to bypass the stonewalling.  Television stations must comply with FCC rules that dictate all political candidates’ ads must be run in their entirety as long as they are paid for.

More ads being run by candidate Randall Terry can be viewed here.

What a horrible thing to take to your grave and carry around with you the rest of your life.

At least she’s working to do good now.

Both Obama and Romney want to murder babies.

This election is a draw on the baby killing question.

In the Old Testament, King Manasseh of Judah sacrificed his son to molech. Israel was invaded, and he was taken to Babylon. While in prison he repented. God let him return to Israel and he tore down all the alters to molech. God forgave Manasseh, but He did not forgive the nation which was invaded again.

Interesting study.

This is and has been par for the course for the manipulative Left for a long long time. John Kerry and the “Winter Soldier” movement, for example, persuaded disgruntled Vietnam Vets to testify falsely in support his outlandish claims that soldiers in Vietnam were like the hordes commanded by “Jenghis (sic)
Khan”.
This strategy, taking a direct and cynical shortcut into outright lying, “because it “might as well” be true, has been Leftist stock-in-trade ALWAYS AND EVERYWHERE, and continues to this day, in known “little white lies”, like Bush’s false Air National Guard documents, forged on a typewriter and promoted as truth by Dan Rather, in a typeface that didn’t even exist when the purported document was issue. For an interesting, and rare, Hollywood film which told it like it was, see WITNESS from 1955, directed by Mark Robson and starring Arthur Kennedy.

My mistake! The Mark Robson film was called TRIAL, not WITNESS.

Well deserved. She did more damage to America than Obama could dream. I wish she would just slither away. She is responsible for 50 million deaths. Would you be so sympathetic to a guy who killed ten 3-year olds by ripping out their arms and tearing off their legs and of course ripping the head apart?

Agree, but in Norma McCorvey's case, I believe she did not actually abort the baby. As Roe v Wade wended its way through the courts, she carried the baby to term. IIRC she gave her child to be cared for or adopted by a relative.

Yes. Norma McCovey gave birth, and the baby, a girl was given up for adoption.

They have never identified the (now) woman who Roe v. Wade wanted dead.

On a side note I've heard that the baby's mother in Doe v. Bolton (the side case) has also come out as pro-life.

Roe and Doe were both used as pawns to advance the cause of abortion.
