For years and years, he has talked and said nothing of any import. All the talk, the endless speeches and addresses, the verbal and facial tics that indicated seriousness of purpose, have never led to one single thing. Not one problem solved, not one crisis resolved and not one plan laid out and completed in four years with something to show for it.

Right on!

Thanks for the post.

The one thing he knows how to do is be popular.

This is the most revealing line in the article. It really doesn't help anyone lead or know how to fix something. This reminds me of the judge sentencing the smart kid that went wrong when he says, "You had a lot of potential to do good but you wasted it". Obama wasted 4 years we can never get back.

Probably no one paid a bigger price for backing Obama than Oprah-—she was queen of talk, riding a huge wave of popularity, living in luxury, earning big BIG bucks when she very publicly backed 2008 Obama, holding fund-raisers at her posh Cali estate.

Her audiences were appalled-—not just at her backing Obama but that she did it so brazenly. Her TV ratings soon fell-—she lost her perch as daytime talk queen-—and is now struggling to maintain her failing cable slot-—which is eating up her dwindling fortune.

The story gets even more tawdry-—when she showed up at the WH-—Michele treated Oprah like a pariah and an interloper—barely giving her the time of day——refusing to go on Oprah’s talk show WRT healthy eating.

Not surprising Oprah is nowhere to be seen as Obama struggles in 2012.

WOW! Thanks for posting this—it is BRILLIANT! As they say, “the pen is mightier than the sword”, and Greenfield uses it to totally, completely, and utterly eviscerate Obama.

As I recall she had Obama on her show but did not invite Mccain on.
Although McCain did go on The View and it didn't help him any. I recall at the end Whoopie told Mccain that his SCOTUS picks would bring back slavery, neither appeared to of heard of the 14th Amendment that outlawed slavery constitutionally.

Painful to watch such brain dead talk. I actually know a regular viewer of the View who saw the show in person and she is very clueless, she likes Sex in the City too. She claims she didnt vote for O though.

Obama is getting back to his roots of entertaining upper middle class college kids with his 'hipness'; both actual college kids and the overgrown middle aged variety that make up the professional class of the mediacracy who treat the rest of the country the way that they treated the natives on their Peace Corps assignments.

The Obama Campaign was never serious, but it once aspired to an Oprah level of seriousness, to the dignity of the self-help sections where trite observations are recited with great solemnity so that they sound like they must mean more than they do.

An amazing - and funny - read by Daniel Greenfield ...

Oh yes, me too!

Keep praying.

I truly hope and pray, this election doesn’t come down to Ohio.

I’m praying Romney wins without Ohio, but also wins Ohio!

Something to ponder.

I think obama is going to lose...it might even be big. The goal is and will remain his defeat.

Now...that said.

The opposition to him is truly profound and deep. It might not be enough to oust him. But if he wins, it is going to be very close and it’s not like the opposition is just going to go away.

He will be the lamest lame duck in American history if he wins. He is DONE as President of this great country, even if he manages to eke out a small and very lame victory.

I understand that he needs to be gone. but in a very real sense, he has been defeated. And there is 0% chance that Biden or any other democrat will follow.

Again, the goal is defeat for sure. But he’s done as President regardless.

Obama's seriously intent tone, the one that signals you to pay attention, no longer works on even the faithful. Like Pavlov's dogs, they have stopped coming once they realized that just because the bell rings doesn't mean that dinner or a functional economy will be served.

He promised a chicken in every pot but people have begun to realize they actually elected a chicken who likes pot.

I ran out of superlatives for Greenfield's essays long ago, KC, but I appreciate your comment and reassurance that others feel the same way. And, no, in case anyone is still wondering, I am not him - just a fan.

Hopefully, all of the formerly beautiful, rich, and famous lefties will suffer the same fate as Oprah has.

a politician whose only skill is popularity had better avoid taking responsibility for anything that might make him unpopular.

During his first time as Washington DC Mayor, Marion Berry was asked if he was afraid that Jesse Jackson would run for his job. Berry's reply was "Jesse don't want to run nothing but his mouth."

That pithy comment summed up Jesse Jackson perfectly. Jesse Jackson wanted camera time, not to be held responsible for picking up the trash, and fixing pot holes. In what may be the first kind thing I have ever said about the man, Jesse Jackson was shrewd enough to know his limitations, and made darn sure that he didn't get elected to a job he would be terrible at.

BO, on the other hand, didn't believe that he had any limitations. Although he may be beginning to suspect.

...that's what Obama is now ...... a flat line in search of its trend.

This pretty much distills Obama down to his essence.

Hopefully, all of the famous who backed the Criminal Obozo will go down with him next month.

This is an excellent article describing what is happening to the libs and Obozo:

The Wave That Breaks The Liberal Bubble
The American Thinker ^ | 10-24-2012 | C. Edmund Wright

Can you feel it?

The wave, that is. I speak of one that will wash away far more than just a failed presidency. This wave will have the torque to rock the entire liberal bubble — the political/media/crony bubble — leaving it forever exposed. Ironically, those inside this bubble will be the last to know — which is precisely why it will happen. Those who would rule over us, and insult us with outrage over Big Bird, academic debate-scoring, “binders” memes, and specious jobs statistics know nothing about us. This includes those inside the bubble who purport to represent our views.

But we know them well. For the record, “we” refers to the quarter of the country that never bought into the fraudulent vapor of Obama
