SIDNEY, Ohio (AP) -- The crowds tell the story. As Election Day nears, Mitt Romney is drawing large and excited throngs.
Look to dusty Iowa cornfields, rain-soaked Virginia parks, the muddy fields of the Shelby County Fairgrounds, where a crowd of 9,500 - almost half of this western Ohio town - gathered among the barns and stables on a frigid October evening this week to glimpse the Republican presidential contender.
"Where else would we want to be?" said one of the shivering faithful, Judy Cartwright, a 71-year-old nurse from Sidney. "I want to see the next president of the United States."

That reminds me, I better get my butt to the gun store and buy 1 more shotgun and stock up on ammo. If Hussein loses, riots could follow.

Mitt reminds me of a boss I had long ago. We always had a staff meeting at 8:04 a.m. sharp every Monday and Thursday morning. No chairs, just a big table where everyone had their previously determined standing place. At the Monday meeting each department head had 5 minutes to state problems remaining from previous week and what was being done to resolve and summary of what their known priorities were for that week. Thursday was 5 more minutes to give update. When the last person spoke, everyone walked out. We each had a blackboard in our area so anyone could write questions or important things on. Most efficiently run company I ever worked for.
I agree we might need a larger stash but it’s hard to do with limited incomes and prices keep going up every week.
One of the guys that came by our campaign headquarters today said that he tries to buy at least a little bit of ammo every week but that supply seems to be significantly less than in prior months.
One thing you can say for BO, he certainly did help to grow the gun and ammo industries beyond everyone’s wildest imagination.
“Is it just me or am I missing the obama ‘crowds’ live on tv”
LOL I noticed that, too. It’s just easier(to be dishonest) to report that there are thousands showing up in the lsm papers and over the air.
I was shocked to see this article on the front page of today’s The State paper here in South Carolina. It must have been galling for that McClatchy rag to print the headline.
