They weren’t able to buy earlier before general election time.....the incumbent has a built-in advantage here, and there will be plenty of ads coming out soon enough. They are already starting to air more.
I know that an incumbent president has an advantage but Barbour was being honest with his opinion with why Obama has an advantage and Romney can’t:
Haley said on the Laura Ingraham show that team Romney had to wait until after the convention to buy ad time and that the price of ad buy is extremely more expensive now and eating up all their money.
He said they should have bought the ad slots earlier after the convention than NOW, when it was once much cheaper. So even though he raised a lot of presidential money, it’s not really a lot if you have to spend twice as much for what you need to do. That is why they are stilll fundraising like crazy. So somebody did mess up
