In the summer months, Prince Edward Island in the Canadian Atlantic Maritimes is just about paradise. So, finally cruise ships started taking people into its main port, Charlottetown. The problem is that downtown Charlottetown is dominated by some of the worst brutalist architecture I’ve ever seen in a town of such modest size. It’s like the cruiseport is in the island’s bung hole.
