Top US and Libyan officials offered starkly different accounts Sunday about the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi that left the ambassador and three other Americans dead. The US ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, said it began with a spontaneous protest over the anti-Islamic video that had already set off similar protests in Egypt, leading to the storming of the US embassy there. "People gathered outside the embassy (consulate) and then it grew very violent and those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons, which unfortunately are quite common in post-revolutionary Libya and that then spun out of control," Rice told "Fox News Sunday." "But we don't see at this point signs this was a coordinated plan, premeditated attack. Obviously, we will wait for the results of the (FBI) investigation and we don't want to jump to conclusions before then." Announcing the arrest of 50 suspects, Libya's parliament chief, however, blamed the attack on a few foreign extremists who he said entered Libya from Mali and Algeria and pre-planned it with local "affiliates and sympathizers."
In Paris, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told French TV that the American ambassador died under "absolutely atrocious conditions," suggesting new details could soon emerge.

My guess is if it happened, the Administration would be DESPERATE to keep that info from being confirmed.
The fact the State Dept has now put a complete blackout on any info about the Libya attack, and seeing Susan Rice disgrace herself on the talk shows, I have a feeling a lot of damning details are trying to be covered up.

2003-2008: Harry Potter must have been a spark that set off radicals in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Then of course, there no ties of violence associated with "Team America" in 2004...

The total reason why the administration insists that the attack was spontaneous is because of the election. If people come to realize that it was premeditated, they will also know then, that his foreign policy with regard to the middle east is an absolute failure. If the people he backed to overrun Lybia are plotting against him, he is a complete fool. Keep insisting it was spontaneous in spite of the information from the people who know what happened Obama.
Looks like there may be something to the Ambassador being violated story that came out after the attack.
