Now that the White House and State Department have made clear that they believe movies compel terrorists to terrorize, it's time for them to get ahead of this problem. And one thing the White House can do immediately is to pressure Sony to stop the release of director Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty," which celebrates the killing of Osama bin Laden.
I'm only saying this because, you know, the White House and the media told me movies inflame and cause terrorism.
Think about it: if the poorly produced and laughably bad trailer for "The Innocence of Muslims" results in chaos, murder, and the burning of foreign outposts all throughout the Middle East, how much rioting and mayhem is a big-budgeted, slickly produced, Oscar-bait blockbuster celebrating the death of the leader of al-Qaeda going to cause?
Moreover, an excuse Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not be able to use in the case of "Zero Dark Thirty" (as she did with "Innocence of Muslims") is the cowardly and self-righteous claim that the federal government and the Obama White House had nothing to do with "Zero Dark Thirty."

Yeah, as I've said here many times before, our brilliant PResident can't think two moves ahead. I don't think he could play a good checkers game... much less chess.
“The Innocence of Muslims” results in chaos, murder, and the burning of foreign outposts all throughout the Middle East...
Can anyone tell me the Genesis of this? Who was the first to tie Arab street riots to this video?
Ha! I forgot all about this movie. When is it due for release? Obama thought this would put him over the top. Boy, did he ever step in it when he said “they’re not mad at America, they’re mad over a MOVIE”.
Now here’s the kicker.....Hollywood could have cashed in on the pro-America/anti-Islamic Fundamentalist sentiment in the aftrmath of 9/11 by putting out a bunch of action films portraying US forces as the good guys, and Islamic Radicals as the bad guys. But they refused. Instead, they gave us a bunch of anti-American movies like Syriana and Redacted.
So this Bin Laden movie will be the first big Hollywood production that treats killing an Islamic Fundamentalist as something that audiences should cheer at. But the more they cheer, the madder the Muslims will get.
And how convenient that this Sam Bacile character lives in the Greater Los Angeles area. I’m sure it’s all over the local news there about what a threat this guy is to American security. I wonder how many ditzy Hollywood actresses, who were all set to attend the L.A. premiere of the Bin Laden movie, are now saying “omigod, I’m not going now, I don’t want to be killed”?
Please, please, Jake Tapper, the one honest MSM journalist in America, please ask Jay Carney if he thinks releasing this movie is a good idea at this time. PULEEEEAAAAZZZZE!
Man that preview is lame.
“The guy’s a ghost!” = The screenwriter’s a hack!
This is the best they could do?
Where does this lady come up with the names for her movies? First it was Hurt Locker and now Zero Dark Thirty. What are the odds it shows Berry rejecting the mission three times based on Valerie Jarret’s advice?
I think in Dec.
Armageddon ahead when that one comes out. Let’s see if we can predict the WH response.
Riot- nothing to do with movie
THE deadly attack on the US consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi was planned and “meticulously executed. “ the country’s assembly chief said.
No half-way measures - when a radical Islamist takes over in Libya or Egypt or Syria, and complains that as a devout Muslim he is offended by being forced to deal with female Secretary of State, I fully expect Hilary to submit her resignation.
We mustn’t do anything to offend the delicate sensibilities of those followers of Muhammed now, right?
Could they still blame it on Mitt Romney though?
wish I were being sarcastic
He swung his shoulders, preening, strutting, saying “I killed him, I killed him DEAD! I KILLED OSAMA! Rubbing their faces in it for some political advantage at home. And he seems to have made someone mad at him...
I am absolutely flummoxed that an American filmmaker was held responsible by leading US officials for the behavior of our enemies , and subsequently investigated and taken into custody. The MSM cooperates, Hollywood and Congress silent.
Now we have this bombastic production that is being projected in a completely different and virtuous light. #ing assholes.
I like it!
It’s a lose, lose, lose scenario! :)
This thread needs to be bumped to the top.
Or as we said in the old days...
BTTT!

There are numerous references in this article to unrest all over the Middle East, in Indonesia and in India, all of which are attributed to outrage over this ridiculous excuse for a movie.
