I think it’s more that half of the public is too stupid and ignorant to care - remember Rome’s bread and circus to keep the plebians content to be ruled? Well, now it’s the sports, and all the electronics (Facebook, utube, realistic video games) and government freebies that act as giant pacifiers so that half just don’t care. It is SOO sad - the apathy shown by these so called Americans to not properly inform thenselves is heart breaking.
The real explanation is that the polls showing BO ahead of Romney/Ryan are phony skewed polls.
I'm convinced it's just that more and more sheeple are gradually being won over by the politics of envy. For generations, leftist Dems have been stroking the masses' innermost, primal covetous urges and splitting the country into a minority of taxpaying "haves" and a majority of beneficiary "have nots", promising the latter that they'll bring justice while serving up the Socialist/Communist/Marxist Kool-Aid.
