The beauty of this fiasco is that it gets every Democrat angry, especially since the No’s clearly had more than the 1/3 required to bury the motion, probably more than half the vote, for that matter.

So, if you’re a Dem on the AYE side, you’re angry with the No voters creating a PR nightmare (even if you have learned to tolerate atheists trying to ram their beliefs down your throat), and if you’re on the No side, you’re angry not only because the platform has now been changed to favor both the religious and Israel, but you’re doubly angry because you’re certain that the No’s had it.

So, all the Dems are angry as usual, but at each other this time. What could be more perfect? If I were in their shoes I’d just stay home Nov 6th and take my vote with me.

You laid it out nicely. I agree with you, the No’s had more than half the vote, which actually surprised me. These aren’t your father’s democrats.
