Huh? If you are a member of the bar, you are a lawyer. Doesn’t matter if you practice or not...

No, you are wrong in both the technical sense and way way off in the practical sense. In the technical sense, passing the bar allows you to become a lawyer but does not mean you must do so. And the comment from Clint about lawyers was clearly meant to mean folks who litigate instead of being involved in real life and real business. I am sorry that went by you .

He passed the bar exam and was admitted to the Michigan bar. Only lawyers are admitted to the bar, so someone who is admitted to the bar is a lawyer.
