WASHINGTON – The Pentagon's top lawyer has informed the former Navy SEAL who authored a forthcoming book describing details of the raid that killed Usama bin Laden that he violated agreements to not divulge military secrets and that as a result the Pentagon is considering taking legal action against him.
The general counsel of the Defense Department, Jeh Johnson, wrote in a letter transmitted to the author on Thursday that he had signed two nondisclosure agreements with the Navy in 2007 that obliged him to "never divulge" classified information. Johnson said that after reviewing a copy of the book, "No Easy Day," the Pentagon concluded that the author is in "material breach and violation" of the agreements.
Johnson said the department is considering pursuing against him "all remedies legally available to us."

If his purpose in righting the book was to correct information which was illegally leaked by the Obama administration for polical purposes, I might have more sympathy for the author. Unfortunately, I think his primary motivation is simply to cash in on his participation in the raid. If that is the case, and he reveals classified information that puts US servicemen at risk in future raids, then he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I hope the individuals who have leaked classified information about the raid to advance the fortunes of the Obama admininistration are prosecuted with equal vigor.
What secrets?!! Obama and his minions blabbed all of the details to anyone who would listen, short of naming names, chest thumping and all! Obama is pissed because the SEAL’s are stealing all of his thunder. They did the deed, they deserve the credit, and obama is an ass for trying to weed them out now. Navy SEAL’s aren’t useful idiots obama, you can’t dispose of them when they have outlived their usefulness. They’ve dealt with petty dictators like you in the past, they know your type, and they know how deal with people just like you obama.
In that case, they are looking into taking legal action against Ubama for divulging military secrets, right?
How about actions against the studio that is releasing the OBL movie?

For a president not known for doing anything because he’s afraid of his shadow, he has run out of time. The book hits the streets by the time any action could move forward allows president-elect Romney to place advance admin halt to personal action.
It’s amazing how fast this administration is moving against a guy whose team should have never been revealed. Have we had any trials for the 9/11 masterminds yet? What about that guy who won’t shave for his trial?

Johnson served as special counsel to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign,and was active in Barack Obama's presidential campaign as a foreign policy adviser and as a member of his national finance committee
In a February 2011 speech to the New York City Bar Association, Johnson "acknowledged the concerns raised" about the detention of alleged WikiLeaks source Private Bradley Manning and "stated that he had personally traveled to Quantico to conduct an investigation."
