Okay, I get all that, but what choice do we really have right now??? For all the talk and threats and warnings over the primary season we STILL got Romney! The people DID speak and it is him or Obama. There IS no other choice. We already know that Obama and the libs will pull every dirty trick they have in their arsenal to win and we cannot afford to NOT vote for Mitt. I voted for Dole halfheartedly. I held my nose and voted for McCain. I will have to drag my sorry butt to the polls and reluctantly select Romney and be happy for the others on the ticket who I hope I can have slightly more assurance of doing the right thing. I just think the time for moaning and whining and pouting and screaming is past - we MUST evict Obama - and if it means voting for Romney, we must.
We can afford four years of Romney with a strong Senate and House to keep him in check. We CANNOT survive four more years of Obama. That is the "Sophie's" choice we have this time.
Voting as you wish is one thing, but sane people cannot do a Soviet like rewrite of who the Romneys are.
If you are reading FR threads, then you are seeing a deification of this couple, with Mitt, it is heroic rescues and deeds of love for his fellow man, with Ann it is similar.
If people want to vote for the disgusting left-wing couple, then they can hold their nose and do it, but we cannot remain thinking people, and conservatives, if we try to force ourselves to believe an Orwellian fantasy as reality and accurate history.
