"VPs have the "power" to advise the POTUS."

I know, but the President has the power to ignore advice, which I am sure Romney would do if any gun related issues come to his desk. VP's virtually have nothing to do except tie votes in the Senate and go to funerals of other dignitaries.

Better to have Ryan advising Romney to govern in a pro-2A manner than Biden cheering Soetoro as he undermines the 2A.
