Pre-election America Reads In Red And Blue (Amazon.com poll predicts Romney landslide)
Zero Hedge ^ | August 26, 2012 | Tyler Durden

If the following "heatmap" of readership political bent by state from Amazon is any indication of the votership inclination in the coming election, then Mitt Romney, more natural disasters notwithstanding, has nothing to worry about. Then again in the world of oxymorons, there are few quite as potent as "America Reads" (with the exception of the occasional money-losing Kindle for the aspirationally cool reader).

This doesn't concern us in the least ... cause the vast majority of our voters weren't sampled in this poll ... cause they don't know how to read!

LOL yea.. Not a good indicator. A good 40% of the voting population (Dems) can’t read or write.

Yep. They also don't factor in that the dead aren't reading much either.

Plus the dead ones don't read but still vote!

Well indirectly, perhaps even the literate Rats are losing heart.

Even goofy humans have a limit to how much nonsense they will put up with, and Barack Obama certainly was a triumph of foisting nonsense upon America. The race card worked, once. Now it’s fool me twice, shame on me.

Well with having seen and heard what “the crazy uncle from the attic”, VP Joe say what he had said, anyone with an amount of “common sense” is going to say, “enough is enough.”

Well a good 40% will pretty much be too discouraged from even bothering to vote.

The “dead”, well, not around for comment.

....And as proven by what looks like “rock concert” appearences at the Romney/Ryan rallies with thousands upon thousands people showing up.

How can that be statistically true if the illiteracy rate of the country contradicts that number? Anyways, I think we should focus on the fact that we need to fight hard to get this guy out of the WH and not be distracted by silly polls.

Not only do the Dead vote, they vote numerous times and in numerous localities. Think Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, DC, Baltimore, Boston, et al...

What I find most surprising is that Mississippi and Alabama are an even darker shade of red than Utah and Wyoming.

I wonder how long this poll has been around and how good a track record it has at prediction.

I'm quite certain ObaMao will win a lot more states than shown on this poll (California and Hawaii, in particular, should be slam dunks) but I'd be awfully pleased if it came close.

Since this is an Amazon poll I am going to postulate the
assumption that the poll responders are Amazon customers.

I suspect that such a population is representative of a
select group of people....the employed. I don’t believe
it’s possible to shop on Amazon with an EBT therefore the
Obamanauts aren’t going to be polled. This will make this
poll skewed and unrealistic.
