I enthusiastically support taking the Senate and keeping the House, but your reply does not address the question at all. McCain, Romney, Christie? Supporting the leftward drift of the GOP only compounds the problem of lefward drift.
Please forgive me for the extreme amount of pleasure I derive from typing this: The Primaries are over and the Voters have made their choice. Now you fight the War with the Military you have.
Whine all you want about Akin, but the alternative is Claire McCaskill. Just like there is no magic Uterus, there is no magic Republican to save the day.
To netmilsmom: You certainly do project your fears. You got McCain last election cycle, you got Romney this election cycle, next election cycle you get what?
Believe this: Being carried in on a slab may become an option for all of us, however do not doubt that God has it within his power to use whomever He chooses to provide “understanding” of Jesus... Even Saul of Tarsus, certainly once as wicked a man as Jeremiah Wright.
As for the rest of what you posted, I have no reply, nor any urge to defend a position I didn’t take.
Now, to the topic at hand:
“You got”?
Hate to tell you, but it's “we got”. Either “we got” Obama or “we got” Romney.
I Voted for Newt and he lost. More people Voted for Romney than anyone else in the Republican Primary. Ding, ding, ding, “we got” the guy that is running against the wanna be Dictator with nothing to lose. End of story.
Addressing the “leftward drift” in the GOP is what the Primary process is all about. Some Tea Party Folks won, some RINOS won and some Conservatives won. The Team has been assembled and we move on to the General Election.
Do you have a remedy for the “leftward drift” problem the GOP is facing? I only see one based on your Post, Vote for Obama. That will show those RINO SOB’s who's the Boss. /s
There will be no “Conservative groundswell” in 2016, another four years of Obama will insure that Conservatism won't see the light of day for generations to come. A couple of Wise Latinas or Liberals with “questionable sexuality” will seal the deal when they populate the Supreme Court. Add to that Obama’s Lower Court Appointments and you can kiss away the “Nation of Laws, not Men” argument for good.
Now you either Vote Republican top to bottom on the ticket, or you end up supporting the Democrat Candidate opposing them. We aren't building Space Shuttles here.
Just a comment or two about the Missouri situation since I mistakenly brought it into this Thread:
AKIN, being the selfish SOB that he has shown himself to be, has done nothing to further his cause or assist Conservatives and the Republican Party in attempting to rout the Democrat Overlords that are running the Country.
He is not some sort a truth talking Folk Hero, he is an egotist in Conservative clothing and he has given our Enemies the diversion they needed to influence the ignorant masses back into their corner.
That's my take. While we disagree, as a fellow FReeper I respect your take on the events of the day. All will be made perfectly clear come November. Wish us luck, I do.
