I was impressed with the homeschooling. Nothing comes close to showing how much you care for your children when you keep them out of government schools and devote your time to your child’s education.

I understand why all the rinos are sissies now. The single white women base hates the tea party. It makes it difficult to win when they can’t even get a portion of their vote.

I think ‘Palin Haters’ here have turned the corner and see that she has tuned in to what repulsed them about her in 2010.

Sarah has heard the message and has adjusted her campaign approach. I like what she is doing now.

That said, politicians can be hated but can find love again.

Definitely her quiet campaigning behind the scenes keeping events local is paying off in more ways than one. Rather than be a cheerleader for women to break through the glass ceiling, she is broadening to a quiet backing of TP Conservatives no matter what gender.

She is doing it correctly now while realizing the Tea Party phenomenon is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead and unite fragmented groups of conservatives.

I am not happy about a Romney candidacy, in fact I think it will be so damaging to conservatives that a 2nd term of Obama would set the stage for a Palin presidency. Sarah is young enough and smart enough to pull it off.

Unlike others who think the country will be destroyed if Obama wins, I think the country will survive and be more conservative. I think we can fight Obama in a 2nd term that will be devastating to him and his party. I see Conservatives controlling both House and Congress. I see impeachment and contempt for Obama and a number of his circle. I also see that the house of cards in the economy will teeter and begin to collapse in certain sectors, and these events will lead to even more conservative positions among the electorate.

While you end up saying some nice things about The Governor, you suggest that she has done something wrong in the past, or that her haters had good reason for disliking her.

I was just thinking that the other day. “I spent 8 million dollars supporting the liberal media mouthpieces and what did I get?”

I’m not sure if the spending was irrational exuberance or extreme desire to turn things around in our country. I wonder if he went into this planning to spend 8 million dollars?

Much of the spending seemed to be aimed at taking out Steelman. It worked. What a strange primary.

Todd Akin merits and 'A' from GOA.

A lifetime rating of 97 from Amer. Conservative Union.

And Akin gets a 'B' from The National Taxpayers Union.

The NRA rates him highly and will promote him.

But he still must over come Ma's financial advantage. She currently has approx. $4 million left to Akin's $500K. And the unions, Hollywood, and various liberal orgs. have yet to get ma$$ively involved...

She was a negative influence in the 2010 elections because everywhere she went the Leftist press followed her and every candidate she endorsed would receive the negative press that followed Sarah Palin.

Now, she has learned how to handle the press and to confine her appearances and influence to local voters. This is a huge improvement.

Whereas before she seemed to endorse a candidate because of gender or because the GOPe wanted her to, now she is aligned with TP Conservatives. Again this is a huge improvement.

I personally liked Sarah Palin from the moment she appeared on the national stage. I did not like McCain but thought it would be preferable for him to have Palin to any other running mate. But Sarah seemed to focus only on children with special needs and women and I did not like that. We need Reaganesque conservatives that use their press access to express the philosophy, practicality and moral underpinnings of conservatism. All the special needs, women and family matters benefit from conservatism, not always the other way around.

Now it appears that Palin is completely independent from the GOPe and the McCain camp, and we see a huge improvement in her.

The reason so many disliked her before is because she was tied to the hip with the GOPe, was not free to espouse conservative philosophy (only bits and pieces), was focused or forced to focus on issues that were not prime drivers of conservatism, did not know how to handle the press. She appears to have solved all these problems in only 2 years time. I know she is extremely intelligent and it does not surprise me that she is coming back much improved.

Remember Reagan faced a much more hostile press but he knew how to handle them and even how to use their attacks to boomerang onto his opponents. He was a master. Palin will be a master I bet.

You are delusional if you see a ‘theory’.

It’s fact that Palin was demonized in the press, made to look stupid and marginalized as being on the fringe. Whether true or not the fact is she did not know how to handle it and now she does.

Fact is she buckled in years past to counsel from the GOPe. Whether willingly or not the fact is she was not successful in the press which made her listen to the RINO wing of the GOP.

Conservatives will never be given a fair shot with the press and Palin is no exception. That’s not ‘theory’ that’s fact.

Conservatives must therefore find alternatives to hoping the press treats them fairly. Apparently Palin has found an alternative and it is working well for her; that’s fact.

I was basically speaking of your statement that the folks that did not like her had good reason, I totally disagree with that! Any decent Conservative that did not like her, has/had a problem within themselves.

Gov Palin can not control how the press behave.

I am glad you are now a bigger supporter! But the folks that openly did not like her have no argument, she did nothing wrong, she is the same person today that she was in 2010 and prior.

God Speed

> “Gov Palin can not control how the press behave.”

No conservative can control how the press behaves.

What they can control is their appearances and access. This is part of handling the press.

Whereas Sarah Palin was naive two years ago to engage the press and think that she could get her message across by force of her personality, she knows now that the press will never convey her message. So she is taking her message to the grassroots and staying away from the press invitations. This is a very good development.

Conservatives of 2 years ago had a reaction to Sarah Palin because she brought bad press with her and she exacerbated the bad press with her counters. In other words she let herself become a punching bag and then when unsuccessful she succumbed to the GOP elite. She went back and forth from being herself to being a tool for the GOPe. In short, she did more damage to herself and others by continuing to engage the press and hoping she could win on their turf.

What she has done is to adopt a battle tactic of duck and dive, make the enemy chase you into the wilderness where they grow tired and become lost. This is working well for her.

Now I hope she will be the Presidential Candidate for 2016, and that by then she will have further mastered the art of conveying a message that is not easily attacked or backfires on the attacker.

Yeah, I should have trademarked that. : )

BTW, the only way that Senators Landrieu and Hagan can avoid becoming Blanche Landrieu and Blanche Hagan in 2014 is for them to retire.
