Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum has endorsed businessman Wil Cardon in his hard-fought primary for the GOP Senate nomination in Arizona, a high-profile endorsement that could counteract some of the establishment support rallying around rival Rep. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz).
"I am pleased to announce our endorsement of Wil Cardon for the U.S. Senate in Arizona," Santorum said in a statement. "As a business owner for more than two decades, Wil has seen firsthand the crippling effects of Obamanomics and why we must solve our economic challenges with market-based solutions rather than more government intrusion. Wil is exactly what Washington, DC needs an outsider beholden to no one other than the Arizona residents he hopes to represent."
Santorum also offered the support of Patriot Voices, the independent fundraising organization he now helms.
Right! Flake looks real good on the surface. Especially when compared to John McCain. I think Palin was fooled by his No Earmarks persona. Plus Flake is a career politician and needs to be hung out in the fresh air for a while. Me? Cardon all the way.
I feel the same way. Flake is a major RINO.
Palin’s endorsements need to be looked at very carefully. She usually gets it right, she deserves great credit for her endorsement and hard work for Ted Cruz, but she has really screwed up before. Remember she endorsed Carli Fiorina over Chuck DeVore, and Fiorina was a McCain-like RINO and Chuck DeVore was a conservative fighter just like Ted Cruz. I think she gets fooled sometimes.
Flake is GOP-E.
Sarah seems to be, too.
Looks like Santorum isn’t quite the ‘team player’ many here made him out to be. They should eat crow.
It certainly never helps when there is not agreement on who
to support from Tea Party leaders. A divided endorsement
is very confusing.
These Tea Party leaders, including Superpacs should meet,
decide who to support and speak as one voice.
Good for Santorum. Real Conservatives will support Cardon. Sick to see so many claim to be “conservatives” yet support the Open Borders/Amnesty candidate
Jeff Flake is Open Borders/Pro-Illegal/Anti-American. When you work with Luis Hernandez, the Hispanic-Racist Rep. from Illinois, to push Illegal Alien Amnesty, you are never a Conservative
We need our borders secure, and all Illegal Aliens deported. Anything else is Amnesty. Flake is pro-Amnesty
