This is a great trend and I hope it continues. These evil men want their names all over the papers. They want notoriety. Don’t give it to them.

I’ve seen reports about him being let in, I’ve also seen reports about him leaving thru the door, wedging it open, then returning to begin shooting. I’ve not seen anything concrete either way so, whether a “Suspect B” would be the person you mention, someone else who helped (possibly with the explosives and booby trapping his apartment, or in some other fashion, I was expecting to read about a second (if not more) suspect.

In your “one-size-fits-all” world, how do you explain bi-polar children who have never been near pot?

Since 1936, when "Reefer Madness" was released.

Man, I forgot all about that. The stuff causes black jazz musicians to rape young white girls! I guess Danny is right.

Never said pot was the only cause.

"Harry Anslinger, Federal Narcotics Commissioner, began a war against marijuana in 1933. He used the popular press to prey upon the fears of the American public, including racial fear and division. He believed that marijuana was a 'killer weed.'",

Racial fear tactics aside, where would he get the idea that pot was a 'killer weed'? Maybe, just maybe he could see a link to schitzophrenia?

I guess I thought public emergency exit doors all have alarms on them that sound off if the door is opened, but that may not be the case.

Some theaters in SE PA and other places I’ve been (Nothern NJ) have people use the “emergency exits” to cut down on the traffice\congrestion in the hall and main lobbies between shows.

Concerning the killer, some genetic lines just need ending.

Have you ever smoked pot Danny? I have and personally know hundreds of others that have. Not a schitzo (-10 sp) in the bunch.

Wait.....did you just hear that?

No, as long as you don't count the Journey and Van Halen indoor concerts back in the early 80's.

I understand but see your perspective is different. You've known hundreds that have and aren't aware of them having bipolar issues, though some of them might have and you just don't know it.

But the narcotic bureaucrat is looking at it different. He's looking at crimes and seeing pot as a common thread. His perspective is starting with the end result.

All of the following numbers are completely made up.

What if pot only makes 1 in 500 have bi-polar issues and only after a year or so of moderate to heavy usage? and what if only 1 in 1000 of those go on to develop the disease enough to actually kill someone. Would a drug that produced 1 additional killer out of every 500,000 users be considered safe?

My brother smoked it and had severe mood swings.

Couple of years ago, I went out with this beautiful girl 18 years younger than me. Somehow pot came up in the conversation and I mentioned that studies had linked it to bipolar disease. I thought it kind of weird that she had a deer in the headlights look.

We had this great date, lots of kissing. 30 minutes after the date ends she sends me a message wanting to go exclusive. I really liked her, but it's only been one date right, so I said soon but not yet. 20 minutes later I get these horrible accusatory messages.

Next day we talk on the phone for 30 minutes, great pleasant conversation. 30 minutes later I'm getting these horrible text messages.

This goes on every day for a week. Half way through the week, I'm thinking, "This girl might be bipolar". At the end of the week, I was certain of it, and then she sends me a message that says, "You deserve to know I'm bipolar.

Of course, I never asked her how much pot she had before she developed symptoms. But I remember that deer in the headlights look.

Amen. Time for the story to get to the back of the line.

But it won’t.

The effects of using a substance that when abused causes an intoxicating, lower inhibition condition, both mental and physical “over a prolonged period of time”, could very well be damaging to the cognative (elective) functions of the brain, thus allowing negative performance, poor judgement (reasoning skills) and unrealisic reactions to real world stimuli...

Thus acting out from a fantasy reality (comic book stories/films, etc etc etc) in the real world...

But, I am not buying the schizophrenic condition he (shooter) is presenting to us after the fact, to somehow diminish the resolve (legally) to excuse his behavior both from the media and legal system...

That county and state are going to have to spend a tremendous amount of money to determine what most of us know already about this murderer...And that is unfortunate...

The day WILL come that he will stand and face that jury, be convicted of murder(s), and be sentenced to death...

None of which will bring any of the victims of his selfish, attention deprived and immature display of unreasonable and pre-meditated actions by this murderer...

And no amount of time consuming, non-sensical media speculation will make this any better for anyone who will be involved in this process from here on out...

I am not a doctor, nor a clinical psychologist but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...;-)

I would counsel people (including myself) that this was a an unreasonable act by someone who wanted attention, regardless of the consequenses to themselves...And the we (public) need to put this in perspective, apply what we know to mitigate the risk to ourselves our families, friends/nieghbors and community, and rise above the nonsense that is perpetuated by those people looking to justify their existense by reporting on this incident...

Just my opinion...

Would help if Media would cool the hyper rhetoric. Drop “massacre’ as preferred terminology....stop giving stats as to where this crime ‘fits’ per archival relevance. < p > This IS their habit; but have long needed to change it.
