Stealing a little valor, maybe?

One thing to tell your kids and grandkids, totally different to represent yourself to constituents as having a glorious record, when none exists.

Jack Murtha traded on it for years.

Aden, whose military records show was active in the Army for more than 10 years before being honorably discharged in December 2010,

Good grief, why would you even think you'd need to embellish such a record?

"Lying is protected as a general principle,"

How appropriate that this "principle" was protected as a right by SCOTUS during the reign of "commander zero".

This is great! The SCOTUS may have deemed "stealing valor" constitutional, but now a database is
being put in place where anyone can search for the record of someone who claims military service.

Stolen Valor Database (USA Today)
