George Zimmerman released from jail

SANFORD -- George Zimmerman walked out of jail once again Friday.

Judge Kenneth Lester set Zimmerman’s bond at $1 million Thursday, and Zimmerman was able to post it.

Zimmerman had to go through a bail bondsman, and pay 10 percent of the bond amount, which is $100,000.

O’Mara said the online legal defense fund set up for Zimmerman currently has $211,000.

However, in order for Zimmerman to be released, he has to have $1 million in collateral, which O’Mara said the Zimmerman family does not have.

"We paid $15,000 initially for the first bail fee, so an additional fee of $85,000 would have to be paid to post this new bond, assuming we can work out the collateral issue," O'Mara said.

Hey dopey, there was never a passport issue. Even this scared lil punk judge dismissed the issue about the passports raised by the prosecutor. BOTH were handed over in time. One was even expired.

While posting your own cash results in it being returned, posting someone else’s promise to pay, in the form of a bond, involves a fee to the bond issuer to cover his risk in undertaking the promise. You don’t get that back.

You act like they have been through this type of thing before.

It is very easy to get tangled up.

The judged jumped on this to make them look bad, pure and simple.

At the time of the incident, both were valid.

This was an intentional lie...

Prove it. Who had control of the account at the time? What was the purpose of the account?

Or should we just not bother you with things like facts?

He didn't lie, the financial situation was very fluid, he had money coming in for his defense fund and didn't know how to claim it.

You guys are so quick to jump on a guy who is going through a severe trauma, first having to defend his life and kill someone and then being arrested for it.

It was an oversight and didn't rate having his bail revoked.

Read the code section in post 57. Lying isn’t the test.

The issue was in that Zimmermen didn't consider that money part of his net assets, they were for his defense, not his personal use.

Zimmerman is not a threat to society, he defended himself, so to link him with rapists, murderer's, drunk drivers and child molesters' shows that you are only a troll here to attack him.

During the Bail Hearing, he was questioned about his income, savings and net worth.

Can you post a link to this questioning??? and then explain why the court doesn't have a record of it???

Thus, bail was set based upon his financial disclosure.

Can you post a link to this financial disclosure and explain why the court has no record of it???

they spoke in a very sophisticated "code" .... It took a 5th grader about 30 seconds to decode this communications.

So then which was it: sophisticated??? or 5th grade level??? Is there a law against speaking in "code"????

No. Zimmerman was an idiot - he lied under oath about his financial situation.

I don't even buy the idea of anybody lying to this judge, more like putting the worst possible spin on a clumsy answer at a point where Zimmerman's finances were in a state of flux and they didn't really know how much money they were going to have available.

I mean, the guy (Zimmerman) passed two separate lie detector tests related to shooting Martin, different kinds of lie detectors, odds of fooling both of them vanishingly near zero, why would he start deliberately lying to a judge?

This judge has zero mandate to use his power to set bails as a vehicle of punishment, his only mandate is to ensure Zimmerman's return and the million dollar bail is provably not needed for that.

Legal experts have described this case as a career ender for the prosecutor and this judge acts as if he had some sort of a stake in not allowing that to happen.

Actually, since this involved Obama’s look a like son, and Zimmerman refused to participate in the 100% collateral program, he had to pay a 10 % Tax of the amount due. It’s all good now.

This case is about:

It's also about the basic idea of equality in our society and the question of whether or not we now have special/protected groups of people who are legally untouchable to the extent that the rest of us can't even defend ourselves when one of them goes crazy on drugs and tries to kill us.

(1)(a) All information provided by a defendant, in connection with any application for or attempt to secure bail ....

Can you provide for us just exactly what testimony GZ gave regarding his finances??? How can there be "omissions" if there are no "submissions". He never testified.

Only his wife testified -- not him -- and this statute applies only to the defendant -- not to SZ.

he lied under oath about his financial situation.

Could you provide us all the words of this under oath lie so that we all can be enlightened by you and then explain why the court has no record of it???

This is what Shelly Zimmerman was asked in court, along with her answers

Further, George Zimmerman was neither asked nor said anything about the subject while under oath.

Where is Hodar, to enlighten us further?

It appears misinforming people is your purpose in life. It’s usually helpful to actually know what you’re talking about to actually enlighten people.

...to the best knowledge of the defendant.

At the time, that was the best knowledge. She even offered to get a hold of who did know... That offer was turned down.
