"Fuller had been acquitted in May of felony assault -- which could have put Fuller in prison for up to seven years -- after the jury found that he didn't intend to cause serious physical injury."

Every one of those jurors needs a serious punch to the head then.

Incredible isn’t it? “He didn’t intend to cause serious physical injury”... Hmmm, so punching a woman who is under 5 foot tall is akin to a air kiss only this one went wrong.

Sounds like they already got one.

True horrors come out of the jury system. These people were simply not competent to be jurors.

If he didn’t intend to cause serious injury, he should have been sentenced to twenty years for felony stupidity, because he ought to have known that when you punch a much smaller person hard in the head, you will cause serious harm - and a dangerous moron is too dangerous to be let out.

And throw the jurors in for a year apiece - misdemeanor stupidity - for believing such an unbelievable defense.

Consider the NYC jury pool. At least they didn't return an OJ verdict.

I agree, he should have gotten 7 years. A friend of mines son hit his girlfriend in the face. Didn't knock her down, she wasn't really hurt at all. And he didn't intend to hurt her. But he was sentenced to 7 years and just got out of prison after serving the full term. She had a good lawyer.
