(CNSNews.com) - Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) took to Twitter Friday to attack President Obama’s move to grant effective amnesty to young illegal immigrants:
He was among the first lawmakers to react to the surprise announcement.
“President Obama’s attempt to go around Congress and the American people is at best unwise and possibly illegal,” he tweeted.
Graham, a former Air Force prosecutor, said the move, “regardless of motivation, will entice people to break our laws.”
While Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano insisted the program “is not amnesty,” other senior administration officials admitted that the program will stop illegal immigrants from being deported, even if a judge has already ordered it.
On the same Friday conference call in which Napolitano said the program was not amnesty, the senior administration official said that the program would eliminate some illegal immigrants from the “universe of people subject to immigration enforcement.”
In other words, the program would prevent some illegals from being deported – effectively granting them amnesty.
In order to qualify for this effective amnesty, an illegal immigrant must have entered the U.S. when they were less than 16 years old, have lived here continually for at least five years, not have been convicted of a felony, serious misdemeanor, or multiple misdemeanors, be enrolled in or have graduated from a U.S. high school or have a GED, have served honorably in the military, and be less than 30 years old.

The Obama administration will stop deporting and begin granting work permits to younger illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children and have since led law-abiding lives.

Curious, what will happen in regards to all the stolen identities these people are using? (after all, how do they get jobs, into school, buy houses, drive cars, etc, without having a legal ID?)
Graham’s probably just upset that Obama will get credit for giving these lawbreakers amnesty and he won’t.

Actually, Mr. Obama’s action is patently self-serving. He has just ‘legalized’ himself.
I have no doubt as I scribe this, he and his crack team of WH lawyers have already filled out his I-94 and provided the requisite accompanying paperwork.

Some resident aliens (people who are here legally and have green cards)can serve in the military. Illegal aliens cannot enlist in the military unless they enlist fraudulently. I am sick of the b.s. stories about heroic “undocumented immigrants” serving honorably in the military. It doesn’t happen.
While probably permanently banned from WH grounds, at least through January 21, 2013, that Daily Caller reporter has my full congratulations and my comment that he must be dragging some pretty big ones!.....
The only thing I wish he’d done is after Obama interrupted his question is to reply, “You, sirrah, are NOT King; and, I am NOT your subject!”
I would bet that the Republicans in Congress will get together and decide to answer this latest move by Obama with a renewed, bold, public silence.
The same rules do not apply to the illegals. In the school district where we reside in CO, the only documentation that an illegal immigrant needs to enroll their illegal immigrant child into the system is proof of an address (like an electric bill). They even get to sign the waiver for immunizations (religious purposes is the answer I believe they give) if they didn’t illegally cross the border and obtain free US healthcare before the kid could catch up on their shots. They can buy a car cash and they sure the heck don’t purchase insurance or pay for registration and use some of their “friends” plates. When you have no respect for rule of law for the country where you illegally reside, all things are possible.
The reporter who asked the question about American jobs was the only person in this country to stand up to this tyrant. Where is Rand Paul and Jim De Mint? Next student loans to be forgiven.
