We have mostly been weaving along the track of what the republic is supposed to be and the Constitution says for at least 100 years now.
I am not in any way happy with all but a very few politicians. NONE of them.
NO, I don’t think they will do a thing. The rules are out, there is nothing to stand upon as right or wrong or lawful or unlawful. The rules have been thrown away. This is nothing but a mob of a country now. Power goes to the ones who can promise the most and be believable. Nobody respects the Constitution or principles. The Grand Experiment is over. I have previously qualified that by saying, “If this is allowed to continue”. At some point you have to realize you have been in denial of the truth. It is over. It will have to be rebuilt.

With an all-powerful Executive Branch, why do we even bother with Representatives of We the People any longer?!? Once again, when Obama doesn’t get what HE (!!!) wants from our elected Representatives, he just proclaims that IT WILL BE by Executive Order or through rules enacted by his proxies in the Executive Departments.

Just got off the phone with Scott Brown’s secretary! I got right through, no lines are tied up. Please everyone call your senators and make them stop this travesty! From the statement I received from the Secretary, Scott Brown is against this Amnesty.

It would be helpful if we had a list, in one place, of all the illegal stunts he has pulled. Maybe a separate thread? I want to overwhelm my congresscritters when calling them.
Nobody will stop his crimes. Next? “stroke of the pen AMNESTY” for the other 19 million illegals. Hey, why not? Obama knows nobody will ever stop him from doing ANYTHING.

In the short term, their are two groups that will be severely hurt by this amnesty and work permits. Hispanic Americans will be competing for jobs with the new “legal aliens” who will also gravitate to their neighborhoods. Black Americans will suffer more from job competition and the racial strife already present where they compete with Hispanics for turf. Affirmative Action administrators will have a field day.
Black and Hispanic Americans can split one of two ways as a result of what will happen in the next months. There will be those demanding more government services and benefits as things get worse. They won't blame Obama but will blame anyone opposed to that spending. Others will blame Obama. It's too early to tell how the numbers will break, but Obama will be gone but his wreckage will remain.
Remember in 2008 GWB stopped deportations, but only for a few days just before the election, to avoid deporting Obama's illegal aunt (who now has been legalized). There will be a few in congress who oppose this, but now POTUSes in both parties seem determined to take steps to engineer an eventual leftist-voting super majority here. Looks like there will never be another Eisenhower.
Meanwhile, Holder sues states to make it easier to vote illegally.
What will prevent the continued looting of a once relatively wealthy and special nation?
One way to look at it is some GOP characters don't even look past the next election, and are so scared sh**less by the possibility of offending Hispanic voters that they will sell out the republic one step at a time. That is probably part of the story. History shows many successful gradual encroachments of this kind, including the years before World War 2.
Or maybe, as you suggest, those at the very top have thought this out, and really want the Leftists to take over. because in the process they can gain power, wealth, whatever.
Rubio may have "good intentions" with his version of Dream Act, but the Leftists know how to use it as another step toward their goals.
yep, thats the problem...everyday its something new, and the house and a few sinaters will squak for a minute, and do nothing, and the nothing is forgotten with tomorrows obamanation...
