Ed Kleins blockbuster new book about President Obama is No. 1 on the New York Times list of best-sellers for the second straight week, despite being ignored by virtually the entire mainstream media.
And veteran journalist Klein tells Newsmax that the success of his book The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House proves that you dont need the mainstream media anymore to reach the American public.
Kleins book is buttressed by nearly 200 interviews with people close to Obama, and features explosive disclosures about one of the most secretive White Houses.
Klein is the former editor-in-chief of the New York Times Magazine, former foreign editor of Newsweek, and a contributing editor to Vanity Fair. He sat down in New York with former Congressman and Newsmax columnist John LeBoutillier for an exclusive interview about Kleins expose.
Discussing the mainstream medias disregard for his book, which contains a lengthy interview with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Klein told LeBoutillier: The Washington Post spent 5,000 words about Mitt Romney cutting off somebodys hair 46 years ago, and doesnt write a single word about my on-the-record interview with Rev. Jeremiah Wright, who was the presidents pastor three years ago.
LeBoutillier pointed out that the New York Times did run a fairly hostile review of Amateur, but the rest of the mainstream media including Today and Good Morning America ignored the book.
They havent called, Klein said. None of them has called.

The MSM don’t readily embrace diversity and it’s a weakness in their business plan.
The DLEMM - Dominant Liberal Establishment Mass Media - does not represent mainstream America. Referring to the DLEMM as mainstream is a mistake.
Kinda telling, right there.
Then why is Mitt the nominee?
I read it and I liked it a lot.
Klein’s credentials at the NY Times, Newsweek and Vanity Fair sure don’t reveal him to be a conservative hack as the MSM will portray him. He is a good journalist doing what the MSM should have done in 2008...vetted Obama. The picture of Obama Klein reveals should be troubling for any voter. The Washington Post spending 5,500 words in an above the fold expose about Romney’s alleged high school hazing incident pales in comparison to Obama spending his high school years in a cloud of marijuana smoke and doing “blow”.
I was thinking of picking up a copy of his book this weekend.
MSM...today's buggy whip industry!!
But, surely this current headline on the MSNBC front web page isn’t indicative of anything?
“Slowing economy has a silver lining:
Gas prices dip”
Funny... I read that and saw, 'buggery whip industry'. Still fits, though, don't you think?
