[naked Mexican] Polk man charged in child's rape, kidnapping of three

A 41-year-old man was arrested after Polk County deputies said he kidnapped three children Sunday and forced one to perform a sex act on him.

Javier Gonzales, of 1922 26th St., Winter Haven, was naked in his truck with the children when deputies found him about 11:40 p.m., deputies said.

According to deputies:

Gonzales visited a residence Sunday night where the children, ages 7, 7 and 10, were staying. He told the children he would take them to a family member.

Gonzales left with the children about 9:30 p.m. without anyone knowing and drove them to an isolated area near Garfield Nursery and Rim roads.

He took one of the children into the bed of the truck with him, where the sexual battery occurred. He told the children they would be killed if the victim didn't cooperate.

Family members discovered the children were missing about 9:45 p.m. and contacted the sheriff's office.

Deputies located the truck and arrested Gonzales.

"When confronted with the fact the victims were discovered in his truck during a traffic stop and he was found to be nude, the suspect denied this occurred and stated, 'I just don't remember,' " according to an investigator's affidavit.

Gonzales was charged with sexual battery of a child younger than 12 and three counts of kidnapping of a child younger than 13.

I checked Polk Co. court records and he also has 2 DUIs, so this one hit the daily double: child molestation AND drunk driving.
