I find myself repeating this passage:
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
I am seeking strength and courage.
From ypur mouth to GOD’s ears.
Amen, Jim. Amen.
You done just fine.
Amen.
AMEN!
Amen!
Amen.
BTTT
Amen.
God can do extraordinary works with ordinary folks.
If you start a Pray for America thread, please add me to the ping.
Amen.
Amen.
“But I do greatly fear for our nation and our freedom and I sincerely pray that what we do is in accordance to God’s will. The fear has overwhelmed me.”
I empathize. For me, I had to come to grips with definitions. America, the nation, the United States, the United States government are each different things; although there is overlap, there is not a perfect congruence. I pray for America, and for Americans. I pray for my culture, which does NOT flow through New England, the tail which has wagged the American dog for far too many generations.
As for the government in Washington, the leading political parties and their leaders, may God grant them all that they have earned. To the last measure.
Fear for the future is not of God. You are under attack, and you are under attack because you are still holding out. Check out Psalm 2 to see how the story ends. There is no need to fear for the future, however dire it appears at close hand.
Remember this too. Each soul is immortal. All nations are fleeting. Christ came to redeem souls. He did not deal in trifles like the Roman empire, or any of its successors. He came to redeem what truly mattered. People. Limited, fallen, contrite people who believe in Him.
Amen, and I agree with you in prayer, Dear Patriot!!
“I’m not a preacher and not a biblical scholar.”

The Apostles weren’t *scholars* either.
You did fine. I pray the Good Lord hears and answers.
But, our God is a merciful God. He hears our humble prayers and with Him all things are possible. He may still turn from His wrath, forgive our sin and heal our land.
Regardless, although He may punish a nation, he still loves us and blesses those who truly love Him and desire righteousness. We do our best fighting on our knees.
"I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread." - Psalm 37:25
Amen
Amen.
Thank you very much. I’m sure you are right.
I probably should add that my overwhelming fear is not for myself. My days are already numbered. I, too, fear for the survival of our nation. And for the survival of liberty for our children and grandchildren.
I pray for strength and courage for all of us to continue the resistance. It would be so easy to roll over and take the easy way out. To let them have their big tent and their homosexualist, abortionist and statist ways. But then we would no longer be one nation under God. Give them this and they will take all of our freedoms, all of our sovereignty and eventually give up America to United Nations control. The socialists, statists, sodomites, abortionists, “international law” types, are already installed in the congress and the judiciary. It won’t take much more backsliding to get ‘er done. If we lose the GOP as an opposition party, it’ll be a long time before we can build a new one.
Pray for a miracle at Tampa!!
Pray for the strength to resist tyranny!!
The enemy within: There is no greater threat.
