When I went to UPS I found that they now require a photo Id. to ship or receive a package. I researched this and found it stems from TSA requirements. I would like to create a list of places where a photo Id is required because of government regulations. People would post places they were required to show Id. Voter Id laws is thought behind this. Would this be a proper thread for this new news category, FReeper Editorial .

Maybe this is a dumb question, but what does “no hitting it” mean?

I exchange freepmail with people who are in the know / or had experience in significant issues facing this nation. I welcome the new forum. I hope we don’t have to hand out the Reynolds Wrap, but I look forward to the change. I would like to share my experiences past and present.

This is a great enhancement to what is already the best site on the web -- bar none. Since you're taking ideas, here are a few thoughts.
I foresee this as becoming the top-of-the-line must-read content here on FR. It will likely become the venue where FR is exposed via other media, lamestream and otherwise. So, I think it's necessary for this section to be the very best it can be.
To enforce the already high standards of FR, how about these items to serve as filtering mechanism?
- Only those with sufficient tenure can post the initial article. Along with the born on date, perhaps limit this privilege to those who have actually engaged in discussions. This is to avoid the troll, the disruptive elements, blog pimps and the hit-and-run poster.
- Since posting an article in this new forum is a special privilege, a check might be performed to limit it to those who have donated to FR. This gets rid of the freeloaders and ensures those who have a genuine stake in this site submit an article. That's probably not necessary for the followup responders.
- Before the article appears, a mod ought to vet it for grammar, proper HTML and appropriate attribution of sources. I don't see a need for draconian content control but since this will be face of Free Republic to the 3 million or so who visit per month, an article in that venue ought to present a good impression to the world.

Eagerly looking forward to all the enhancements.
I am guessing, the idea of having an APP. came up as well.
In any case, I am praying/wishing for an always betterment of this great site - true guardian of this great nation.

So, this isn’t necessarily for ALL FReepers. Sorry Laz.

we want to bring a new level of activism, the citizen investigator. In the spirit of 1750s The Pennsylvania Gazette published by Ben Franklin and of Andrew Breitbart. Sounds good. Just hope folks provide some sources and/or evidence for their info.
