Yep, you’re right. No reason for anyone to endorse Romney.

He’s not yet the nominee.

We’re months from the convention.

Too bad Newt ran out of money.

Keep praying. Something’s gotta give.

Newt didn’t endorse him, because he’s not the nominee.

We’re months from the convention.

Yes, me too. I'm so sorry he piled up debt. He needed a much stronger fund raising apparatus.

Isn’t it interesting that Newt was a regular commentator on Fox and well respected by them until he ran for president and now he is talked bout like a dog? He must be shocked at their viciousness.

He said he was shocked in a NY Times interview back around January. That was in reference to how they all piled on him and tried to cut him off at the knees after his comments about Paul Ryan's plan last year. I remember being shocked myself hearing the meme all over FOX and conservative radio that "Newt was done" after that. I didn't understand it and they sure seemed to be overreacting.

I don't think Newt got it either. He chalked it up to professional jealousy then, but last month seemed to realize it was just that FOX decided to back Romney early on. I think we don't know the half of the depths of the conspiracy between the Romney campaign, the RNC and "conservative" media like FOX, National Review, The Washington Times, Drudge, Coulter, RINO radio (Hewitt, Bennett, Medved...). There is undoubtedly a major story to be told about the promises that were made and the gifts that were exchanged to bring the Romney propaganda campaign to life. The sad fact is that when you can point to the same exact pundits singing Newt's praises a few years ago but suddenly talking about him as if he were Satan's spawn, any sense of trust in what was supposed to be much of "our" media has now been shattered beyond repair. Certainly the list of commentators worth reading or listening to has been dramatically shortened as a result of actions taken during this primary.

Pinkerton is a real conservative, on ALL planks, one of the few FOX still employs. He is a panelist on Fox News Watch every Saturday and has been for what seems like 10 years. There is no such thing as a real, intelligent and honest conservative who doesn't like Newt. It's one of the best litmus tests you can use.

That’s is what I see to; there is no nominee. The only real candidate suspended due to money and hasn’t gone anywhere.

Praying for sanity and a brokered convention.

I’m sorry that you and many here are so disappointed.

I don’t think we can blame the media or what you call Rep-e.

We never had a popular slate of candidates. There was never a consensus candidate on this site.

There was just a lot of vicious infighting.

If you want to hope for a miracle of some kind, then fine. I buy a lottery ticket occasionally.

But in the end, Sarah, Newt, Rick S and everybody but Ron Paul will endorse Romney.

Like in Star Wars. “help me, obiwan kenobe, you’re our only hope.”

Romney may not be who we wanted but he IS our only hope.

Hi altura, According to the expert pundits, like know-it-all-Rove, only a handful of states will decide this election. Mine isn't one of them, so I'm going to be more of a disinterested party. My energies will be directed to state, local and the U.S. House and Senate races.

As for Romney, he robbed everyone of the primary all of us deserved. A primary of new ideas for a better America. A primary of real solutions for our real problems. The primary that Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Perry and even Ron Paul tried to offer with new ideas until Romney started in with his vicious attack ads against his rivals, followed by Ron Paul with his similar ads.

The media and the GOP-E promoted Romney from the beginning and enough of the voters fell for his attacks ads, despite claims they hate them. Romney the big money candidate out spent all his rivals and he still has money!

Primaries are always rough and tough here. You know that. This one was particularly difficult, with the early exit of popular Herman Cain and the accusations flying at rapid pace. I tried my best to keep to Newt threads, while pinging Sarah's threads. I was all in for Newt Gingrich, (I sent him money), and Governor Perry was my second choice and he should have received the endorsement of those Evangelical pastors. I still think their endorsement would have immensely helped him. I thought Sarah Palin also liked the two of them best.

I believe praying is totally different from buying a lottery ticket, and I'll continue to pray. The convention remains months away and nothing is set in cement. Romney is not the certified nominee. In fact, he still doesn't have the required 1144 delegates. Anything can happen between now and the convention.

It's said that God works in mysterious ways. I have faith that He will help us save our Republic.

I won’t respond to your other stuff, but please don’t think I was comparing prayer to buying a lottery ticket.

I would not demean prayer in that fashion.

I was really referring to the hope you have in ‘something’ happening to prevent Romney from getting the nomination.

I pray all the time. But no matter how fervently I pray for something, I realize that one must add, Thy will be done. We don’t know God’s purposes. He’s given me some improbable blessings that I prayed for.

I’m now praying that Romney turns out to be a good president who selects quality advisers and turns this country around financially. It’s desperately needed.
