Kinda reminds one of high school trips to Europe. For the chaperons in this case...if they screw up....they get fired. So I’m guessing they will want everyone to be accounted for at a certain time, and everyone acts professional. Kind of sad to treat a bunch of thirty-five year old guys this way.
To: Justaham

if firing the guilty doesn't have the desired effect, what makes the chaperones more trustworthy than the supposedly most trustworthy agents in the whole government???

The Secret Service agents are the chaperones not needing one. This sounds like the beginnings of Mother Russia's position of political officer.

So now the Secret Service is to be treated like a bunch of high school adolescents?
I feel so proud.

If we are now reduced to assigning chaperones to our SS agents I think its time to outsource the job of protecting the President. Gavin DeBecker springs to mind.

Another of our institutions humbled. I no longer recognize the country I grew up in.
Chaperons. Is the no end to the humiliation? Yet, this is what happens when we become a silly country run by silly people.

When I was in the Air Force it was behave or you could be punished under article 133 actions unbecoming an airman
I think its time to bring the overseas government employees under that kind of law.
Behave or be fined up to a years pay and some jail time for good measure

“Chaperones included in new Secret Service conduct rules”
Just means that in the future, prostitutes will be on the government payroll and have the title of “chaperones.” It’s the new job title, replacing “escort” since that title has gained a derogatory meaning.
This will be done in order to avoid public disturbances regarding disputes of payment. The unionized chaperones will be required to accompany the SS (Secret Service) on all trips abroad!
To: Justaham
Regardless of what is really going on, if you have to assign chaperones to teams of secret service agents, you don’t have the right agents and the problems are institutional. This is a ridiculous layering of additional staff.

Embarrassed by a prostitution scandal, the Secret Service will assign chaperones on some trips to enforce new rules of conduct that make clear that excessive drinking, entertaining foreigners in their hotel rooms and cavorting in disreputable establishments are no longer tolerated. I understand that Bill Clinton has volunteered to come out of retirement to become one of the chaperones.
