My friend who has a Down's son thought it was funny!

Seems several people around here have a hard time accepting handicapped people the way they are!

Get over it! Accept them for who they are!

Living in California, I shopped at a grocery store at the same time each week as an SUV full of Downs syndrome adults who came for supervised shopping.

Those men and women were the sweetest people I have ever met. The smallest compliment or kindness was always greeted with joy and gratitude, and I looked forward to seeing them every week and hearing about their adventures and what they bought, etc.

I still miss them. They were a breath of fresh air.
