Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

What this site needs is more declarative posts with bad grammar and lots of double exclamation points.

I miss the days of Achmed Villa.

I just tell a few folks when someone gets him- or herself zotted.

And it's always entertaining! :)

This is what I was referring to in my FReepmail..

Never got it bud.

But if this person made this post even 5 years ago, the mods would have escorted him off.

My charming persona has not changed in more than a decade.

So much for the "no personal attacks in posts".

Like when you cried about me to Management without pinging me? Like that?

Actually, yes. Don’t take my word for it though, I’ll refer you to the National Association for Down Syndrome:

“Down syndrome is usually identified at birth or shortly thereafter. Initially the diagnosis is based on physical characteristics that are commonly seen in babies with Down syndrome. These include low muscle tone, a single crease across the palm of the hand, a slightly flattened facial profile and an upward slant to the eyes. The diagnosis must be confirmed by a chromosome study (karyotype).”

Did you vote for Nixon or Ford? Then you aren’t pure enough, for they were both pro choice. And Nixon was the biggest big government guy of our lifetimes, his EPA is still destroying our freedoms to this day. You have allowed the vilest comments on this site for the last year, including many by you, and then you preach how pure you are, and you wonder why noone comments anymore. You have given over control of the site to a bunch of keyboard commandos that wouldn’t dare say what they say in person, and then hide behind their version of religion as an excuse. It is really sad what you have done to what was once the best sight on the internet. Good Luck on keeping this sight going with the same 30 posters commenting repeatedly, oh wait thats what they have been doing for months. Goodby and good luck with getting Obama reelected, my children and grandchildren don’t deserve it, but apparently a few on here will feel better about their “principles” .

dirtboy is right This has been the ugliest primary ever all because of Romney.

Well, now I reckon he has his bought and paid for his coveted GOP-E nomination, so let's see if he can buy the presidency.

I truly think we're the better patriots by putting our energies into working our butts off trying to elect TEA Party patriots to our state houses, and to the U.S. House and Senate.

Fighting amongst ourselves serves no useful purpose. Pray about your vote.

Vote for Romney if you want.

Jim has made it crystal clear that Free Republic will not entertain ANY overt campaigning for Romney, but my God, Jim fully realizes that several here will or plan to vote for him and many of us absolutely won't!

After all, Romney rivals and national leaders, including Sarah Palin have already said ABO.

"where does insulting and alienating fellow conservatives Jim Robinson get you?"

I had occasion to post this Jim Croce reminder back in '08...there was a similar situation then which JR and FR survived quite well. So, free of charge is a little suggestion....

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask of that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim..

The GOP-E refused to back a lot of the Tea Party candidates who beat their preferred RINOs in the 2010 primaries

The GOP didn't back people that couldn't win. There is only so much money to go around, and you don't spend money on races you can't win. That's the way it goes. That idiot in Delaware comes to mind.

Jim,
Your statement does not make any sense! On one hand you say ‘no one here wants Obama reelected’ and in the same breath, say you will not vote for Romney. You do realize that it’s a net sum game at the end. We get either Obama or Romney - and no matter how you spin it, it’s either Obama or Romney.

So I ask you, nay, I challenge you - to stop doing/saying/writing towards an Obama victory.

Honestly, I’d hate to see only these good freepers leave - I will not be one of them, as I’ve invested too much time (and some money) since 2004. But you can’t jettison more than half, if not more, of your loyal readers and expect to survive and continue to be a leader of the conservative movement.

I humbly ask you to reconsider the path you have taken.

God bless.

That’s great. He’s good during the Freepathons. Whoop-de-do. I guess that gives him a free pass?

I don’t care. Insulting potential donors doesn’t seem like the best business model to me. Insulting longtime FReepers doesn’t seem to be the best of ideas either.

wtc911 is a friend of mine. He became a friend when I was in Iraq and although I’m not on much since then, I’d like to think we are still friends now. Insulting friends and potential donors again doesn’t strike me as the way to go.

LOL I don't recall stating voting for Romney on a thread. I did want you to see that I don't care about the Romney garbage. I voted for Santorum.

People left and are leaving because of people using "personal attacks" which is in violation of FR Rules. If those rules got me suspended last May then why doesn't it apply to attack thugs today?

Can a moderator please explain this to me?

“I want the Freedom on A ‘Conservative site’ to bash Romney all I want without being told I’m ‘a traitor’ for not voting for Romney.”

I want the freedom on a “conservative site” to say I’d reluctantly vote for Romney (or anyone else) in hopes of avoiding four more years of the destructive bastard Obama without being accused of being a “Romney supporter”, a “troll”, a “Romneybot”, or “campaigning for Romney”. I think that’s an equally reasonable desire.

So? The answer as to why Romney is different than McCain is Lehman Bros.

People now seem to forget that McCain was leading in the polls when Lehman Brothers fell apart. When that happened, the economic world ended and it was curtains for McCain. Before Lehman Brothers, McCain had the upper hand.

There’s no Lehman Brothers to save Obama this time.
