Ann Barnhardt on Green Energy Bankruptcies
Ann Barnhardt ^ | Apr 23, 2012 | Ann Barnhardt

Posted on 04/24/2012 11:34:51 AM PDT by ml/nj

I just want to point something out that I'm not sure people are appreciating. All of these so-called "green energy" companies that Obama throws billions of dollars at and then file for BK - these companies are taking less than 18 months to go from signing the papers for the government loans to full-liquidation BK. The speed with which these companies collapse is, in and of itself, proof that these companies are set up PURELY as mechanisms to loot the United States Treasury. They were never intended to actually produce anything. They are shells that are set up to fail. "Success" was never even an objective with any of these outfits. Take Solyndra. They received a loan from the government for over $500 million in September of 2010, and filed for total liquidation bankruptcy in September of 2011. Guys, if that company was real, it would take longer than a year JUST TO GET WARMED UP. It takes time, far in excess of a year, to get a company set up, get infrastructure in place, begin production, establish a customer base, etc. Even if they had some pieces in place before the government money came, remember, we are still talking about HALF A BILLION DOLLARS. For a company to burn through half a billion dollars and have a padlock on the front door in 12 months without massive embezzling going on is not possible. And Solyndra was one of the smaller "loans" issued by the Obama regime. And he is pushing for MORE billion dollar "loans" to "green energy" scam companies. Well, of course. Obama is looting the Treasury ahead of the collapse, positioning himself and his oligarch cronies for the post-Republic regime.

Ann is brilliantly stating the obvious here. But I never thought of this. Rush didn't think of it.

Read it again!

This jibes with something I noticed. There are some videos around the internet that were made inside the manufacturing plants of Solyndra and Beacon Power. These videos were either made by the companies themselves, or by friendly news crews that were doing stories on these companies with their cooperation.

What I noticed was that in both cases the factories were much too big for the production floor space in use. They looked like great big empty buildings with a production line set up in one corner. In the case of Solyndra, there was quite a lot of palletized raw material taking up floor space, but the production equipment was minimal.

This struck me as odd; I’ve been in quite a few factories owned by profitable companies, and they are always crowded with machinery, overhead equipment, etc. There isn’t a lot of empty space, unless they are on the decline.

This struck me as odd when I saw the videos, but I couldn’t put my finger on the reason. This article puts words to my intuition.

I believe most if not all of the videos I’m referencing here are available on YouTube.

It’s money laundering.

I was thinking this a while back - "how can these companies be burning through this money so quickly?". The Obamabots could simply make the claim that these were companies with good ideas that simply didn't work out, but companies don't usually go under this quickly. Will Congress investigate? Probably not.

Before a nation fails there are always those who line up to loot the treasury. This Marxist gang is no different!

ALL of the stimulus money was nothing but a huge smash and grab looting of the taxpayer.

I just started doing work for a company like this. They moved from their previous facility because they obtained a very favorable lease.

Yeah, that possibility occured to me as well: maybe they got a fantastic deal on a huge facility, and were expecting to grow.

The Beacon facility looked brand-new; I'm not sure about the Solyndra location.

I personally know of a huge vacant factory in upstate NY that's vacant. I'll bet it could be had for a song. The local "Industrial Development Authority" is trying to find someone to move in.

Maybe that's the explanation. For both.

One too many instances of the word "vacant" in there, sorry. Should have proofread before hitting Post for the second time.

” Ann is brilliantly stating the obvious here. But I never thought of this. “

Don’t feel bad about it - frauds carried out this blatantly and brazenly defy the comprehension of normally honest people... Even while we’re seeing it, we’re not believing it happened...

If they move the facility to another state, they'll have more success getting a tenant. Doing business in NY State is a disaster (similar to California).

WHERE ARE THE SOLYNDRA RECORDS?

Oh, most of us, due to the beneficiaries and their links/donations to 0bama, knew pretty much from the start what this was about...

but when you put this in front of your avg liberal,
they deny to their death that this was the purpose of these programs.

That’s because they see their support of “green energy” and 0bama as proving they’re “a good person”.

You have to wonder when one of these alphabet agencies is going to turn on Obama and start squealing like school girls. Seems he is bound to piss off the wrong person sooner or later.

Many - including many here on FR - buy into the “Obama’s just a bad businessman” meme, which is the CYA spin by the MSM —

Ann Barnhart provides us with a “pay attention to the man behind the curtain” moment, by pointing out that this was perhaps the largest, most open, in-your-face, skimming fraud in history...

If you ever wondered how the Secretary of Energy would behave with the Chicago crime syndicate holding a pistol to his head Barnhardt paints the picture.

Yeah, I wasn’t aware of the shortness of the timeframe from start to BK - 18 months. With that much money at hand, you and I could keep a losing business afloat for several years at least.

Can President Obama Name ONE Clean (Green) Energy Success?
Heritage Action for America ^ | 04/10/2012 | Ashe Schow

Posted on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 9:12:44 AM by Responsibility2nd

For those who only hear about these failing companies one by one, the following is a list of all the clean energy companies supported by President Obama’s stimulus that are now failing or have filed for bankruptcy. The liberal media hopes you’ve forgotten about all of them except Solyndra, but we haven’t.

That’s 17 (that we know of so far). We also know that loans went to foreign clean energy companies (Fisker sent money to their overseas plant to develop an electric car), and that 80% of these loans went to President Obama’s campaign donors.

The President is trying to claim in his first official campaign ad that he’s created 2.7 million clean energy jobs. When you look at all the companies going bankrupt, some of those jobs might have been paid for by the stimulus, but they are gone now. You can’t claim we’re up 2.7 million jobs if so many of those jobs have been subsequently lost.

Keep this list in mind the next time the media pretends that Solyndra was the only failure.
