Two Bangor councilors want Ted Nugent concert scratched, promoter sees no need

BANGOR, Maine — Waterfront Concerts promoter Alex Gray said Sunday that he doesn’t plan to call off Ted Nugent’s Bangor performance despite remarks from two city councilors that the controversial rock star shouldn’t be allowed to play in the city.

Last week, Councilor Charlie Longo emailed a letter to Gray saying that the concert series shouldn’t allow Nugent to perform because of comments he made during a National Rifle Association convention in St. Louis. Longo later posted the letter to his website.

Two of Bangor's stellar pols try a little government censorship. Even the local moonbats aren't going for this one...

I suggest we combine the concert with a 2nd amedment event.

Perhaps an ‘open carry’ tailgate party prior to the show.

Maniers, check my tag;

The astounding part is that even the moonbats who posted comments after the article on the BDN are ticked off at the totalitarians on the city council. The poll is running 78% against them.

Ticket sales should soar through the roof.

Ted should send them a thank-you note. :-)

Those council members would however endorse a reunion tour of Two Live Crew...

There are local rumors that Chaz, I mean Chuck, leads an alternative lifestyle.

A couple Bangors mutually offended by the Nuge?

Did one catch offense, and his partner pitch a fit?

Maybe Boy George can “fill in” at the last minute...

They’d like to “dixie chicks” Ted. But it was the fans who nixed the chicks. Not the government.

Heaven forbid they let the market decide.

If Bangorites (Bangorians? Bangoristas?) don’t want the Nuge, they won’t buy tickets to the show.

Bottom Line: Liberals hate, and will go to any extreme to punish success, Ted would make the concert a success, and that’s just not acceptable!

hahahah
78+ FOR NUGE, 21+ against.

Longo and Baldacci and the rest of the libs need a ‘reading comprehension” course. The Nuge did not threaten obamama. The FBI Washington sicked on him agreed. They probably had some grilled Bison wrapped in wild boar bacon while they were at the ranch.

But hey, you libs don't even need reading comprehension to understand the Black Panthers and all the other half brain-dead liberals ARE threatening peoples lives ‘AND inciting violence - and NOTHING will be done to them...After all, most of them are Holder's Peeps and he's on record as saying he won't prosecute “his people”

But REAL Americans are finally fed up with the PC rot and now we're speaking up to - you guys can't stand it. Tough cookies. Get used to it.

GO NUGE

(the libs are having a tough time in Maine these days - we finally captured the House, the Senate and the Governor's Mansion after decades of lib rule. And our Gov. is everything people THOUGHT C. Christie was - but ain't. There's a great sound of gnashing teeth - we love it.

LOL! From the article:

Gray said traffic on the Waterfront Concerts website and its Facebook profile, as well as ticket sales, were affected by the controversy over the weekend.

'The rate of sales for that show doubled over the weekend,'Gray said.

Bangor councilors largely silent on Ted Nugent controversy at meeting
